Season 2 Ultra edition free? That would skyrocket the game’s popularity and seems like a wise business situation. People who were gonna get KI S1/2 would’ve already gotten it. Having both of them free at some point would increase the popularity and the sales of Season 3. Do it IG.
I’m pretty certain it doesn’t work that way. Trials are not a Gold subscription, meaning that with the trial, you won’t be able to take advantage of the free Game(s) with Gold promotion (or other similar Gold deals).
Actually yes, they do work for downloading Games with Gold. The problem is that you can only play the game as long as you maintain your subscription, so when those three days are up you lose access to the game. However I’m not sure how that’s going to affect cross buy.
Are you sure that you don’t get to keep your games after the gold subscription is up? I was, like, 99.9% sure you do for Xbox stuff (for PS4 stuff you don’t, though).
EDIT - Ah, turns out you can keep the 360 games, but NOT the Xbox One games once your subscription runs out. Okay, that’s kinda meh for these people then, especially since it doesn’t seeeeeeem like you need Xbox Live Gold to play on PC (I sure hope they don’t go back on that promise).

Oh well, if they’re doing this, consider that they lost the fighting game war on PC even before the game came out.

You should carefully read the previous posts in this thread, so you’ll see with your own eyes my question was pretty legit, expecially after what Infilament said.
It was also because everyone has 1 month trial of Live Gold and I didn’t want to waste this opportunity for anything, expecially when the game comes out in March and you have this pack for free in January. So I would be a genius to use a feature two months before by having a pack I can’t use it later. How to waste a free trial since I don’t own an Xbox One, grats!!!
But I repeat: it seems you not only lack of politeness, but also of intelligence. If I were you, I would just shut up and cancel the message you’ve written.
EDIT: I can’t buy a game blindly, you know. If the ultra pack won’t be available without future subscriptions, I’ll check the game and decide if to buy it or not. Season 1+2 are well worth you’re money in this case for you season 1 ultra is now free next month and you still try and find a negative spin.

Killer instinct on XB1 has been out for over 2 years now and there is hundreds of gameplay videos on YouTube, its not like its a new franchise either it came out on SNES and N64,if you haven’t grasped what Killer instinct is about yet then maybe just don’t bother to download the FREE version.. People these days gets me mad.

There’s guides, tutorials, tournament matches. Basically all the info you need apart from playing the game itself. KI has been out for about 2 years, if you still can’t make up your mind about it, maybe its not the game for you. You could try it out come January with the Trial + S1 Ultra free, maybe those few days will be enough to convince you to get the game and/or subscription. If not that then the PC version when that is due, again depending on whether you like it or not. I hope you do purchase though, its a fun game and (most of) the community is pretty awesome too.

Apart the fact I spent cash already 2 years ago for the a good hardware that still today rocks with every PC game (and not a lot, around 500 €) and apart the fact in my Steam Account I don’t have only f2p games, but also some games of consistent value (Dark Souls 2 bought at day 1 for example), it’s a good thing, before conversating or writing, to gather some information of the person you’re talking with. For example, by some previous forum posts.
I noticed you did that, as evinced by your 2 paragraphs, in a good way. In fact, as you know:
- I played KI already between February and April 2015 from a Xbox One in a friend’s house and I liked it, so I have an idea on how is the game. But, of course, you knew that already because you gathered information, right?
- I have the original KI for Snes with the original soundtrack, as I said in my previous posts (only thing I haven’t said is that it was a Christmas gift when I was 8 years old).
- I said in my previous posts that I purposely put apart 60 euros to spend in a fighting game between Street Fighter V and KI, so as you knew already, the money wasn’t a problem.
So, after all this, the question might be natural: So why the ■■■■ did you say you won’t buy the game blindly if you already tried it and liked it? And here comes the answer.
But, of course, seen you’ve read some of my previous posts as your duty, you noticed I raised up a big problem I encountered in the months I played KI: the fact of encountering the same, ■■■■■■■ few people in a huge time span even 6 - 7 times consecutively, sometimes even with huge ranking differences (I was bronze, faced a top 400 killer). If we consider I faced once the first ranked in March, Milfonton or something like that, it was clear where I’m heading to.
In few words, my problem isn’t the game itself, but about the presence of people and the popularity of KI itself. I don’t want to have to play with the same few peoples like I did in the past months. That’s why I said I can’t buy it blindly. I would spend if I see there are enough people to have a glowing community to play with. But considering the highest concentration of players, competitively speaking, is in America, it’s pretty hard to me to play at those times…considering I’m Italian and there are only 9 hours of difference. Expecially the 8bitdown, when the main event starts at 1 AM. At night I would like to sleep, I don’t know you.
So, just spend less time in conjectures and you might be have enough time of reading more of the person you have in front of you in order to avoid to write a huge pile of crap or, worse, to offend for free. If I spent time in conjectures like you did, I would say that Zurgoide is a giant ■■■■■■■■■ but he isn’t, considering how much different is his second post from his previous one. Different attitude and behavior made me think Zurgoide isn’t a moron after all.
But now, onto the real matter. The thing that brings me on nerves from people like you is the fact you not only have given me a concise, precise and simple answer to a simple question I politely posed on this thread, but you came out with the “you have to buy the game, omg buy the game, you have to buy the game blah blah blah” along with your partner.

IN CASE THE ANSWER IS NO: THE PACK IS AVAILABLE ONCE AND FOR GOOD, I would go trial in January, donwloading it and buying immediately the Shadow Jago Bundle in order to have the complete S1. After that, in March, I would buy instantly day 1 the S2. Season 3 eventually after seeing an enough popolated community.

- I tested the game already: pick the answer I gave to the other guy, add flowers, kissed, hugs in order to make it appear more kind. I watched 8bitbeatdow tournaments too, so I know how the game is. But if you read over there, you noticed the problem is another one.
- I don’t own a Xbox One, as I said on the post you replied. So I can’t use the January trial.

Fair enough. Sorry, I may not have understood your question before. Now that I have, I’ll try to answer to the best of my ability. It was said that KI would be free on PC for those who had already bought it on Xbox One, so theoretically yes you would have at least S1 Ultra if you got it next month AND used the same ID/account on Windows 10. Now the game on console is tied to Xbox Live Gold and thus, you cannot play it on console without Gold. But they have said that Windows will not require you to have a Gold subscription to play games on PC. I’m a little bit confused there, but if anything, you wouldn’t be spending anything if you went for S1 Ultra next month so y’know, go for it.

Basically next month you can download season 1 Ultra pack for (FREE) why so many questions just download it on your Xb1 and play it,what have you got to loose it’s (FREE).
If you haven’t got an XB1 console download it from Xbox.com when it comes available for (FREE).
If you have only got a PC it will come available to play for (FREE) when Killer Instinct releases on PC around (MARCH 2016) and yes you have guessed it it’s (FREE).
I hope this help’s you decide on how much it costs.

Hope to see you one day on Killer Instinct when it becomes available on PC,the PC community joining with the XB1 community will be very interesting and will make a better community all round.
I played in free rotation Jago, Riptor, Thunder, Tjcombo and Spinal as Schiavoff (my friend’s name account). Of course you’ll see me on Day 1 (or 2, depending on my putin connection) and perhaps I can try Fulgore, my ol’ main in KI for Snes.
Shadow Jago is awesome he is my main at the moment, Iron Galaxy has done a great job with his new move set.
All the characters are unique and have their pros and con’s.
My favourite are Shago,Jago,SabreWolf,TJ,Riptor.
Hope you enjoy it on PC.
