I thought the same thing, though I usually a new chapter has came out on Fridays I think. I am hoping that the next character will not be another guest character. Although Raam is pretty cool, not the character type for me, but as a character and fighting archetype, I think he breaks the mold for KI and I think it’s great.
As far the talk of Eyedol, I think that what people have been saying about UT finding a way to control him and using him as a trump card would be a way to bring him into the series. I think that it will be the first season where there was no new “canon” character if Eyedol shows up. If it ends up being Eagle, which I don’t think it will be, because I think that the final character will be the one that people have been wanting the most in past seasons. Although Eagle is intriguing, I think that if the choices are either 1. another guest, 2. Eagle, 3. a new canon character, or 4. Eyedol, then overwhelmingly (and not felt by myself) that Eyedol would be the largest desired of those picks. Guess we’ll find out at EVO. I’ll be there, so I can’t wait to see it.

While it would be cool to have the Eyedol/UT connection in this timeline, I just don’t see it happening at all. I mean if Eyedol is suppose to be a Shadow Lord, why would he work with/cower to ARIA, or how would she control him? As we see with Gargos, Gargos is God-like, thus if Eyedol is suppose to be his equal, he must be God-like too. ARIA is God-like in her own right, but she is NOT Shadow Lord level.
And people arguing that the OG timeline is a part of this new timeline…it is not.
Sure the new timeline takes/uses elements of the OG timeline, but the OG timeline is completely gone now; it was erased/destroyed. Jago and Orchid are siblings sure, but you might as well say that that is just “how it is,” not that is “how it was.”
Honestly I have grown to like it better this way. This new KI timeline/universe is WAY better than the old one. It is deeper, more detailed, and just bigger. There is no reason other than nostalgia to look backwards.
I just feel that if they leave Eyedol out it’s a little incomplete. The whole of the original roster should be in imo. I don’t really care how they fit him to the story either. Maybe he can be Ramms tinder date gone wrong?

Only reason I would say no is because I’ve heard Max say that the IG team hasn’t and still don’t like Eyedol as a character. Though the desire from the fans could change that…though so far I don’t remember much of Eyedol being mentioned in this story line. I’ve heard others say he was mentioned, but I just don’t remember. I am not looking forward to him, I know others are, but I just want the next character to NOT be a guest and be someone that is involved with the story.
The next character better be new! And not a bonus character.
I’d say someone who works for Gargos a new hero joining the new Night Guard.
That’s because he wasn’t mentioned at all in this story line. The “mentionings” (if that’s even a word) you heard were just fan assumptions based on vague information in the story.
Guess that bods well in hope that he doesn’t show up…I’d rather it be Eagle or another new character…but I’d take Eyedol over another guest character.
Any word on the next chapter, guys? I have a ssneaky suspicion we’ll see Eagle’s reveal before we get another one, if there are more that have yet to be released.

Probably will come at the end of this week. That would be my guess anyway.
There is still another chapter… I am not 100% sure on the timing just yet, though.

Should we read anything into that statement? Like Chapter 6 will be the last one?
I’m guessing the timing of it might not be until the 8th character is revealed, and the character will appear in it.

I just finished my first editing pass on the 6th chapter. Noble has to do some additions and tweak a few things, but hopefully we’ll have it all ready to go later this week!
