I sooooooo want Eagle right now! Eyedol can go for Season 4.
If they made Eagle a āshadowā character (I see hybrid Thunder/Fulgore)ā¦heād be better as a bonus. Eyedol needs to come back this season. Plus they already mentioned the last character would be left completely in the dark until his releaseā¦Iām pretty sure using the novella to hint at the last character would go against that.

Agreedā¦IIRC season 1 Fulgore was called a cyborgā¦if not called that it has always been implied, as the original was labeled a cyborg, and up until this point nobody has said āno he isnātā. Also, there was heavy hinting at the idea that Eagle was the human part of the cyborg Fulgoreā¦so essentially theyāre retconning Fulgore as a # notacyborg just so Eagle can get a free pass on not being Fulgore.
Itās about as bad as Shadow Jago not being Jagoā¦why? I dunnoā¦because someone wanting a story with a game canāt accept a character as being a āwhat if?ā or a āsituationalā character like Evil Ryuā¦no it has to be a completely separate entity made up out of thin air because reasons.

Awesome chapter. Reading about ARIA is fun lol I swear her S2 and this Novella chapter of hers are my favorites so far. Though, idk how I feel about this Eagle foreshadowingā¦I really would rather have Eyedol. I know I know, nothing was confirmed and I am jumping to conclusions lol

Heres alittle on the reading comprehension, I know some folks are having a hard time.
Aria was trying to find a way to make synthetic beings evolve into organic ones or better said trying to Evolve mankind. She thought somehow fusing the instincts and combat reflexes of Eagle, a near perfect example of humanities greatest aspects in one man; Into a Fulgore unit then it would explode the Robots capabilities effectively making it a Cyborg-Like entity. However fulgore is indeed a robot.
Aria ultimately wanted the reverse of that tactic. She wanted to download a virtual mind into a living organic body. However it became possible with Glaciusās DNA presumably because Glaciusās race is telepathic and obviously Aria discovered the telepathy is genetic. Thus the alienās DNA was the bridge needed to tranfer minds into living bodies. Too bad the genes arent compatible with Human genes causing weird scale, eye, tumorous mutations.
This story confirms my Idea, which is Ultratech method of using Eagle. They didnt implant Eagle into a Fulgore, they use Eagle as a mainframe and downloaded his warrior nature and leadership mind into Fulgore units. Just so happens one particular unit became more concious, more individualizedā¦belligerent if you will. However I always knew Eagle was being held and used as a continuous source of mental fuel for Ultratech than something so final and simple like a ābrain trasplantā lol.
P.S. I gotta say humans are so fickle. In S1 people were hoping to God Eagleās origin and story and even a full character would be explained. People were bashing and hating Eyedol for being cheap back in '94 smh. Now today people are like āEff Eagle whereās Eyedolā. No pleasing the crowd. Personally if we dont get Eyedol this season and we get Eagle instead Iād gladly accept. Eyedol is better served as the big Bad next season anyway. Maybe 2 seasons worth of story for Eyedol. Killer Instinct Season 4 and 5 confirmed.

Oh ā ā ā ā this is dope. I wonder if this will follow up in the Season 3 story. Will Eagle skin be available? Will he fight the Fullgore that has his cloned consciousness? Will Aria turn into a real girl and get reworked with a better default costume?
Trying to imagine Glacius āshearingā up the place with his absolutely ācoolā abilities was a wonderful thing to read about - and then to have Eagle simply disappear? Thatās just āicingā on the proverbial cake.

If they have decided not to add stages for some characters and have not opened a community fund to even advance the game, that hints that the devs are ready to close this game soon and move on to a new project. To put it simply, this is the LAST SEASON of KI, next one will be a new project. season 4 and 5 cant happen
No. The lack of stages is because resources went in new elements. The game is growing.

Add to this that for some stupid reason they also want this game to end at season 3. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me and now even more so considering with Eyedol, Eagle, Arianna and even Ryat himself season 4 has a ton of potential in itās storyline.
Iām so hyped after this chapter! I knew eagle wasnāt dead, hell orchid said so herself! Iām really interested in this human Aria weāre hearing about. With this I hope he who shall not be named was just a placeholder for a possible guest character but thatās just wishful thinking.
As for Eyedol I really wanted him for season 3 but now thereās so much more that could go on in this season alone that he could be the next big bad in season 4. I hope this novella is part of story mode this season, it would explain the dialogue on the trailers!

The game is taking so much updating that is difficult for me to think that all this is happening only to end in two months. If it was to end what would be the meaning of new forums, new UI, Shadow Lords mode, new multiplayer mode, pc port, new lightings, figurines, novella and all this? If it was to be the final season it would much easier to continue with the previous form. I think the devs wanted to make a new game without losing all they had made untill season 2. IMO the game did well the first two seasons, so I think (and hope) that this is a 2 or 3 - seasonal investment.
I would absolutely love to have this Novella and all the back stories in physical copies. Theyāre really good and I just love all the KI lore.
The story in KI is never quite at the forefront like in other fighting games, which is a shame. I normally find myself explaining to my friends who play just who these characters are and what their histories are together.

I have to say when reading this and considering the picture that was up front, I was thinking that the body floating there was one of the Ariannaās, but then thought, that body looks like a man. Then when getting close to the part were Eagle was revealed, I couldnāt help but get excited about him being real. I think I said something very simular to Eagle still being able to be alive, but I think it was in the S2 forums.
As far as game play and style, Going back to a post that @moonlightninja posted back during the Thunder back story:
So I think as far as fighting style, it was established that Eagle was a wrestler and an amateur boxer. So I donāt think heāll be a shoto. If anything, he might be someone a little bit closer to a mix of TJ Combo/Thunder. Maybe heāll be the first character that has chain grabs, like King from Tekken, or Solomon Grundy from Injustice. Though IG could always give him more abilities and claim that while he was in stasis, UT some how gave him an ability he didnāt have prior to being captured. Other chacters that come to mind would be Mardok from Tekken.

That doesnāt quite tell you the archetype, but its a good idea and I think I would like Eagle to have that kind of moveset.
