I always get ultra, I want all of the costumes, accessories and colors. This isn’t an option. lol
To be fair, you want the extra costumes and such and are CHOOSING the Ultra option because of it, because you are compelled to get all the extras. Because I know you have personally had an issue with having an unused stack of Gold previously, I just think it would be unfair to later complain about having even more Gold stashed up by buying the Ultra Edition for Season 3.
Who knows, maybe the Gold will end up being useful to you for buying additional accessories, colors etc anyway.
I’m pretty sure you can’t buy retros and the premium accessories with gold.
Only unlock early stuff that’s unlockable through grind, i.e. colors, (non-premium) accessories, things for the player card (icons, phrase, background). Oh and XP boosters (not attainable any other other way but with gold).

That would make me exceedingly sad.
What I’m saying is I’m thinking we will learn more either before the season launches or once it launches, and buying costumes, accessories, or colors (whether unique to gold buy or not) might be a new feature. We won’t know until we have the full announcements.
Sorry, but you’re wrong. Retro costumes cost 1200 gold, retro accessories 300 each. I bought them for Cinder with the Shago community fund gold. You can definitely do it.

Ok, yeah, the stand alone retros and premium packs are no longer available as separate items on the marketplace. So you actually must buy them with gold now, through the in-game store.
Never noticed that change. Cool.
