I predict they’ll give Orchid a Ms. Dark outfit, complete with the holstered guns, hair style and color, etc. and use the guest spot for a female who has nothing in common with Orchid… Like Kameo.
That’s even better for the Orchid Joanna style, I hope if they don’t bring Joanna in this season Orchid will get a Joanna style outfit and hair accessory. Well Head in Orchids case. Her batons could be lengthened guns.

Main lore comes with thr main cosmtumes.You cant just disregard that. Retros on ki dont matter and can just be retros because they dont exist in todays KI story.
Even fulgore mk1 and mk2 are used to support different time lines. Its like saying you would use the NEW model on the 1st round of TJ Combos story mode? You wouldn’t because it doesn’t make sense in terms of the story. The new model fulgore is the newer version and its no differnt to Joanna Dark.
Joanna dark PD was a fully fledged profetinal woman not a girl like in PD0 so why reverse them?
Weather we all know how KI works is irrelevant guys perfect dark is not a reboot and anyone here can say we can make it work or we can just add datadyne where we like and make it work…of course we can but why should we and is that really up to IG?
Perfect dark is what it is and is up to Rare to evolve how they see fit! we cant change their lore or cutt it around just to suit our costume order lol. Guests come with their own lore and their own rules that have to be respected.
This thread is about how Joanna fits best and for me (although i adroe her PDZ costume) thats giving IG the chance to modnise the OLD joanna slightly.
We dont need to make it make sense we dont need to change it we just need to accept when it comes to prequels and reboots our syetem doesn’t work in the BEST way for everyone.
If we all had to pick the joanna that fitted best into killer instinct story and shared the most DNA with ki it would be PD1 that joanna should be the main joanna for more important things like credibility rather than a costume running order lol

This isn’t complicated. Her PD0 outfit is her modern one because it was released on Xbox 360. Her classic outfit is her N64 one. It’s really that simple. Anything more than that is overthinking it.

No one else would have a problem with this and it’s not an issue that deserves to be lingered on. Doing so would mean you had OCD. If you held up development because you disagreed with the naming convention of her costumes you would be fired.

You want to cut the story around to fit kis costume regime and i want to keep as much of her stroy as it was and ad intact as possible. Younger joanna is massively differnt to older joanna in tech, story exseprence etc.

picking the younger joanna as defult means you need to go with that joanna for story and lore. Why would you do that its a half baked option. You cant pick xmen 1 make a film out of that comic it and give jean her phoenix abilities just becuase jean looked better in her marvel girl costume. Lol

MUSIC:
I really like the title theme tune for PD1. It is a bit slow for the purpose of inducing hype, but as we’ve seen before, that can be fixed with upping the pitch and giving it a more techno feel. For the cybernetic type of world PD lives in, I wouldn’t be at all surprised with a techno remix of the original theme.
MOVES:
I imagine her to be a lot like Bayonetta, using some form of gun-fu, with ranged doubles and traps. She would deffo be an acrobatic fighter, with good zoning but very small level of damage.
She needs some of her iconic guns in there for moves. The akimbo Falcons for her ranged doubles, Laptop gun for traps or maybe some gadgets for traps, I’m not entirely sure.
With the concept of her being an acrobatic zoner, I’d make her moves act like she’s playing runaway/keepaway the whole match. So that would entail things like back jump downward shooting moves, back dash anti-air shooting moves, or possibly when taking an offensive stance somersault overhead shooting attacks.
SHADOWS:
I would suggest her shadows look like she’s calling in assistance, much like how Marvel brings in all three characters for big level 3 specials or that Parasol woman from Skull girls calls in her soldiers. So let’s say one of her moves is to unload a machine gun, like the K7 Avenger for example, Shadow version would bring in Elivs or Jonathan or a group of generic Carrington institute agents to hose the opponent down.
LEVEL:
I’m guessing stage, so I’d make it a tech-noir street scene at night with hover transports and gunfights in the background. Maybe have the odd cop car or something flying in and crashing Plenty of neon signs that will spark or outright explode during the ultra, while all hel l breaks loose with the gunfight.
STORY:
I had previously suggested a story and it got shaat over, so I’ll leave that alone.

I think she would have been fun focusing on using her guns and gadgets to be a heavy zoner and they could include the alt fire gimmicks. She also has some cutscenes and her unarmed combat to use as well. She could have been like Chris redfield in mvc3 with how close rash and arbiter are to the source material, rash is not perfect but I not pick but she would have been great
