I was beating the hell out of Killer AI arby last night. But Killer AI Tusk…OMG… you cant do anything… damn deflect/stagger is BOSS for the AI!
I suggest locking yourself in with CPU Killer or Kyle Shadow Jago until you’re able to beat him somewhat consistently. You’ll learn to read his attacks and get a good feel for what works.

I’m flashing back to fighting Boss Shago in S1. 
I’m getting worried just thinking about it, lol! (FYI: I’m laughing to keep from crying)
I do realize that current Shago is a probably a wholly different beast than Boss Shago, but still…
Granted, it is no substitute for fighting a real person, but it’s the best way I’ve come to learn how to react to certain attacks.
It’s nothing like boss Shago… -shudder-

Strengths: Clearly an OP hero. Don’t even have to play the game to know that. Recommend rage quitting every time you see him in ranked.
Weaknesses: Gets played by random scrubs who suck with everyone else, such as Rico Suave.

I studied it carefully and yup not fighting against this character I don’t care about my rank I only play fair. Anyone wants to pick shadow jago and get a free win no problem with me. Not playing a hero you can’t counter.
Funny how its the only hero like it in the game with such silly op teleports.
I’m pretty bad at this game, and I’ve beaten the majority of Shago players I’ve faced online without having to go to the lab against him.
It was obvious from the teleport dive kick that he is an unsafe character that will lose to a patient playstyle.
and what do you do when he teleports behind u where u can’t block? or when he jumps over u when u fall down and attacks you from the opposite side that you can’t defend?
Then he sends you into a 50% damage combo you can’t break
You learn the animations so that you can react to them and block the correct direction when he is teleporting behind you rather than in front of you. Same thing with the jump.
Lack of practice and familiarity =/= broken or OP.

You can defend, you just hold forward instead of holding back because the side you have to hold to block switches.
So like everyone has said, you CAN defend by blocking the other direction. Who is/are your mains? If you play someone who can zone well you can easily bait a Shago into an unsafe gambit.
Here are a few tips for fighting Shago. First one let him come to you. Second learn to block. This is a big problem alot of players silver and under have. They just don’t block. Okay now that you got blocking down he will be furious and do the teleport kick from behind. He can only do a teleport kick from behind if he is close to you so dont expect him to teleport from behind when he is far away. Now to block his teleport kick just no that if he is next to you and about to use it he will come from behind so block from the other direction. Go to the training stage, select Shago and set the cpu to do that so you can practice.

Did everyone here is giving you grade A advice. Use it.
And if you find yourself just completely unable to block divekicks, just jump and take the hit in the air. Shago doesn’t get much off divekick unless you’re grounded.
You know that someone is new to fighting games when they call characters “heroes”.
With the surged divekick being unsafe know I wouldn’t even consider Shago top tier. Why do you think he is?

I solved the problem I bought him. LOL and I am beating most level 50 its not the slide kick its the air teleport with the coming down kick that makes him impossible to beat. I am surprised I am beating level 50 folks and can’t even do a single combo with shadow jago
