Just to add how I fixed mine.
I followed all advice before hand and nothing happened.
I then followed the guide that OP mentioned, still nothing except added a few lines with
State: Offline
Error: General System Failure
Error Code: 6
Went and deleted Teredo Tunneling Adapter from device manager and changed back to “netsh interface teredo set state client” in the Command Prompt (Admin).
For some odd reason the Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface got downloaded somewhere along here. (Don’t really know how)
Have yet to test the game multiplayer but Teredo has finally been obtained in the xbox app.
Hopefully this may sort out the issue for a few of you.
Edit: Was able to find a lobby within 10 seconds so looks good so far
well i did get the teredo pseudo thing on my computer and i did get an address for teredo but still no dice, i cant connect this is very disappointing i dont have time to mess around with this thing
This doesn’t make sense.. I got the teredo adress obtained and my xbox live is up.. i’m obviously connected to the internet so I don’t understand why I can’t play online.. Does anyone know any other issue it could be?
A lot of people said it was fixed for them after they uninstalled (not disabled) any VPN-type software they had, such as Evolve, Hamachi, etc. Basically check if you have any third party network drivers that could be getting in the way.
I cannot play online. It searches forever or gives me a cant connect failure. I cant invite individuals off my friends list either, we both get a connection error (even if they invite me, or vice-versa).
My Xbox app says Teredo Address OBTAINED. - but still no connection in KI. I have run with Windows Firewall ON but KI given full access, and I have run with it OFF. No luck. I have no anti-virus programs, I have no 3rd party silliness.. Nothing. I am on a WIRED connection.
Hoping for some info about this. Ive gone in and fiddled with the Teredo settings via cmd line and so on, and I am still not getting anything.
One thing I find odd though, is
Netsh Int Teredo Show Stat - typed in to cmd will give a list of teredo info.. Down the list some it says:
NAT : none (global connectivity)
NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: No, PortPreserving: No
Could this have something to do with it? I have the sharing stuff turned ON, which is what windows calls UPNP and I have UPNP ENABLED in my router.
Just for comparisons sake.. I play several other online games, SFIV and V both play fine, MKX played as well as MKX ever really played back when I was still playing it a few months back. Etc etc.
Anyway, just adding to the issues others are experiencing.. Super disappointing to pick this game up, throw some money at it, REALLY enjoy it, then hit an immediate brick wall.
Oddly enough, I was able to connect yesterday and play a few games.. And I could play today. It seems to be working for me now.
I wonder if they are working behind the scenes and slowly fixing this? Dunno. I fiddled with the Teredo stuff, l changed the settings with the Teredo set state default command, I’ve posted that command elsewhere but I’ll try to repost it here as well…
I have ZERO idea if that helped.. But it works now, heh.
Same here. Network says no problems but I too cannot play online matches. This is a big deal for the competitive market, hope we can see a fix very soon!
After re-enabling Windows firewall I can host, but cannot join. (Invite friends)
My Verizon network seems to be the issue, if I switch to my LAN ISP, I can join matches just fine. Attempted to port forward Teredo ports from status, but I’m very limited with my Verizon equipment.
Same issue here, such a downer was really keen to play this game now I can use my fightstick but nope.
terebo is working so Im not sure whats going on. I have bitdefender could be that but I shouldn’t need to disable it to play a game online, never had any problems with any other game
Same issue… Xbox matchmaking works fine, but with the PC version I receive “Failed to reach matchmaking servers” every time I’ve attempted to find a an exhibition or ranked match. Followed instructions to allow Teredo connection with Xbox app, and still no luck. Can’t believe there’s no official response.
By chance did any of you also disable the majority of Microsoft location services (Cortana) for privacy reasons?
EDIT:
Match making is now working. I disabled my endpoint firewall and enabled windows firewall.
If you happen to have Windows 10 Pro, then you can always try the method I used myself to fix the problem:
Give it a try if you haven’t.
DO NOTE, however, that it seems to only work on Windows 10 Pro specifically (the Home version apparently doesn’t have the required Administrative Templates settings for some reason).
I was able to determine this morning that my issue was due to host firewall blocking teredo traffic on port 3544. My firewall has a default rule to block inbound and outbound traffic on that port. I disabled that firewall rule and was able to connect with no problem. Even though i had setup port forwarding on my router the firewall was killing the traffic before it ever left my computer.
Running “netsh interface Teredo show state” in command prompt gave me two different status messages. When teredo type=client, behind the firewall you will never get status on NAT, NAT Special Behaviour, Local Mapping, and External NAT Mapping.
I didn’t find out about the error until I switched my Teredo type to enterprise based off a recommendation from this thread. [Windows 10] Fix for "Failed to reach matchmaking servers"
While I was behind the firewall “netsh interface Teredo show state” gave me “teredo primary server unreachable over UDP” errors.
Google search led me to the port 3544 issue.
"If the Teredo state is offline and the error state is Teredo server is unreachable over UDP, UDP port 3544 traffic may be blocked somewhere between the DirectAccess client and the DirectAccess server due to the following:
A third-party host firewall that is running on the DirectAccess client.
An intermediate router or network firewall between the DirectAccess client and the DirectAccess server. It is a common practice in organizations to block unexpected UDP traffic with their Internet firewalls"
All this to say check your firewall rules and see if the traffic is being blocked on UDP port 3544. Worked for me and I hope it works for you.
I had to take my Firewall off to get past the DLC screen, but I have not been able to get into a match since, saw your message and turned windows firewall back on and was able to instantly get a match…lol
