One way to stop the toxic pros, would be to ban them from tournaments for poor sportsmanship. It would be a way to put a quick stop to the bad remarks, but these are just my thoughts.

That kind of seems like a slippery slope. Who’s to judge what’s considered a bad remark when some may think it’s a valid criticism?
The issue with that is that not all of the negativity is coming from people that are even still going to tournaments. Just removing them from tournaments doesn’t solve the problem; the issue isn’t where they can play, it’s that they’re given far too much of a platform to speak on due to sites like twitter and twitch.

I still refer to her as “the chicken” XD I don’t like the retro but that’s my opinion, I usually don’t like the new retros at all (Glay is pretty cool though). But some new designs were necessary and are great. Riptors..I just love the way she moves, specially when she run backwards, she looks like a cat/chicken thing lol. And the raptor face…I just like it =)

Watching this unfold from an outsider’s perspective is pretty odd. From what I’ve gathered, the community is made up the age group from 20-30’s (just an average.) for the most part, we all act mature. We may throw a few jokes and jabs at each other, but that’s what a community does.
Out of nowhere, we have a few adults blowing things out of proportion.
The way I interpret is, that a few guys are simply bored and might want to loudly voice their opinions before they exit the scene? It seems as if they grew tired with the game from what I’ve seen on their streams.
I’ll stop rambling and simply get to the point. If you don’t enjoy the game anymore, then stop playing. Simple as that.

Along with this, there are people who don’t even play KI, some SFV players, trying to keep the fire going saying things like “KI was dead since day 1.”

That’s when you realize theyre grown men/women pointing and scrutinizing a video game. Can’t get more mature then that.
Alas, I’m content with the topic being dropped. Hope this subsides soon and we can all continue Ultra-ing eachother in peace.

I think this will disappear when we have something else interesting to talk about, quite frankly. Maybe the CEO results or the launch of Shadow Lords.
I think a lot of this is motivated by MS’s announcement that they are supporting the tournament scene so the stakes were raised for some of these guys and they are frustrated about not getting what they want with money on the line.
