S1 ui while very old ki would be a pain in the ■■■■ scrolling through everything and everyone. At least the new one has the mist and look of a ki game
I kind of wish the character model existed in the shadow (even if obscured), rather than a blank silhouette of it. But clearly, this was a decision they had to make in order to improve loading times. And if that’s the case, it’s a sacrifice worth making.
The new “fly in” animations for each character look cool. The stream had some poor framerate so it was pretty tough to see a lot of them well, but I’m looking forward to seeing them in the final game.
The character select grid itself is nice. Three rows for each season makes sense. The portraits look clear and they seem to have picked good poses for them.
I particularly like Tusk’s character select screen pose. Looks threatening and appropriate.
Only small complaint is maybe the green shadows are a little odd. I’d have to see them in motion more to make a full judgment on that though, and maybe I’ll end up liking them. But it’s far from a dealbreaker even in the worst case.
New stage select screen also looks nice.
This. I hope we get a stream today, as IG’s streams are pretty high quality. Both the recent Tuesday streams MS has done were weirdly low quality, especially the last one.

I liked it, of course there was some recycled animations and I’m not feeling the vs screen with the random green and blue in the background, kinda distracting. Overall I like the new select screen.
I wish orchid would extend a baton from its closed state like a light saber and smirk rather than just swipe it but it is more ya know still like it.
