Definitive?

My game doesn’t seem to be definitive to me… i see yall keep releasing content… but the people such as myself went and bought the game because we expected to be complete… thats what you guys promised us on the promotion of the game… now you expect us to pay for gold pack 1 and 2?? Terror pack?? Kilgore??? And those shadow customs are extra expensive. .. i hope you guys keep the online support because its gonna take a life time to unlock those shadows… lets not forget you guys said if you downloaded gargos gold then you get a free gold pack… and i still haven’t received it… smh… let me guess yall gonna come out with a super ultimate complete edition.. such a rip off … good day!!!

Good day to you too.

Sounds like someone needs to take Economics 101…

I get how you are upset. It is a shady marketing trick. The sad truth is that this is far from the only game to do this kind of stunt. The “Hitman” game is like this, and so is “Rainbow Six”. I could list more, but you get it. The only advice I can give is research the game first. This way you know what you are buying and what you will pay extra for. The other thing is watch out for any game that uses the word “seasons”.

The only way to get a full game anymore is to wait until it is no longer being updated, and has not been updates for at least a year.

False. They said that they gave a free gold pack to those who already supported them by having the gold Gargos. They never said that was part of the package. You paid $40 for 26 characters(which you have), the OST(which you have), and the game modes such as Shadow Lords, Shadow Labs, Story, Survival, etc.(which you have).

Use your Shadow points from Shadow lab and Shadow lords to unlock shadow skins. Its actually much faster than unlocking mimic skins.

Is it just me or does anyone else find it ironic that people continue to demand more content for KI, but would rather not pay for any of it?

“We want more stages!”
“We want more characters!”
“We want more skins, costumes, and accessories!”
“We want Ultimates!”
“This content sucks change it!”

Just a never-ending demand for more, but IG and MS be damned if they make us pay for any of it.

Your point?

Not to mention when they make them and they’re free people are like “These suck! How dare you make these the way they are!” :unamused:

I mean he has a point, it really shouldn’t be called the “Definitive” edition. People see that name and it’s understood to mean “This edition contains all DLC.” Releasing DLC after releasing a definitive edition is kinda sucky for people that specifically wait until the complete editions of games are released.

A) This is nothing new in the industry from what I’ve heard.
B) We, the fans of this game who likely bought the DE, begged the devs for more content of all kinds.

It’s no use.

Outta curiosity, do you read content descriptions, or just the title of stuff, before deciding whether or not the product is worth it’s value w/ other products, such as food or cars?

This sounds like getting upset at the Subaru dealer because your Forester doesn’t deploy a giant saw blade to cut down trees in your path (nor spew superheated pinecones, either way). “The product CLEARLY states…”

I think you’re misusing the meme but whatever :innocent:

I don’t understand the meme version. I just use it to mean “use your noodle,” or, as it’s saved in my PC “think about it.”

I guess if using it correctly, I would be agreeing w/ him…?

It usually goes like “You don’t have to/won’t _ if you don’t _” and the second blank is usually an odd or bad idea.

Example:

“You don’t have to go 0-2 in a tournament if you don’t go to the tournament”

Ohhh, that makes sense… I guess I’ve just been reading a little farther into it, and twisting in up a little. I see it

“< farcical, if not laughable, notion >” / [subtext = think about how ridiculous you are being]

So…

“You don’t have to get mad about feeling jipped by commonplace marketing strategies… if you read the product description first.”

And then the brown man smirks and taps his temple.

EDIT: ohwait I see how I bunged it. NVM.

Correct use of the meme would be:
“…if you don’t buy it.”

They released a “complete” collection back in season 2, these releases are just bundles with everything up until the point of their release, not everything after.

That’s just the way it is now.

Complete Editions are never complete.
Dynasty Warriors Complete Edition had DLC.
I’m fine with paying for content as long as it’s well produced and actually cool to have.

Thats not false if you have the gargos dlc.. you are suppose to get a gold pack… #facts… but some how you missed that ..

Its funny how yall making excuses for these game developers to rob the consumer…smh.. for the record im not upset… just disappointed… yall can throw away yall money thats cool… a fool and its money is easily parted… it has nothing to do with reading the content etc… obviously yall missed the promotions that were being displayed… K.i has been out since xbox one dropped…its no excuse… Mk came out wit XL… do you see them dropping new content… ??? Sleeping dogs??? Definitive means the end next game… not the same as patch updates… i bet you people also think that is ok for wwe 2k to make you pay for wrestlers that should be already on the game…??? or how they did street fighter fans??? I would rather deal with a telltale serie at least if i buy the disk… i get the other episodes at no additional charge when they are released..#facts
