@xSkeletalx Dude I just beat Sif! The wolf boss…that was a bad ■■■ fight! I used Iron flesh and stayed up under him. Thats a fun area with all the hunters before the boss and such.

Alright, so I got the first Dark Souls game, and I’ve been much slower to progress than in later games. I’ve only made it up to the Undead Parish, but I’ve had some pretty fun little triumphs.
Asylum Demon was easy, and I managed to cheese the Taurus Demon once I got the hang of moving about.

The original is much less forgiving than 2 or 3, I feel. Most of the weapons feel much slower, and my character takes her sweet time sipping her Estus. Plus the Xbox version isn’t terribly well optimized (I’ve had quite a few frame rate dips). It’s certainly still satisfying though.

THe frame dips arent just the XB1 version…its every version. Try using the Claymore and leveling up to 15. Best weapon it the game for starters. Also pyromancy is very important…lvl it all the way to 20.

Estus is very slow… makes sure to push Launtric off the cliff and get the ring of favor and protection ealry int he game and keep it on the entire game.

When you get the lord vessel and the ability to bon fire warp it moves a bit faster but the traveling portion of the game is what the DS community dislikes about 2 and 3…they love the fact that in 1 you had to walk your way out of areas ect..

Im almost at the end… only 3 Main bosses to go! Then Im off to DS2!!!

I’ve heard there’s a fix for it on PC to get stable 60 FPS. Obviously if I could afford a good rig I’d test that out myself.

Still, thanks for the advice. I try to get at least one pyromancy spell per play through in the Souls games since you never know when you’ll need to plink at someone from far away. And maybe I’ll give the Claymore another shot.

I got all 3 and Bloodborne far in boodborne but i love the gameplay so i own everything just rarely play when im not on fifa and ki and sfv

No… pyromancy isnt anything to do with far away! Combustion and Great combustion are the best moves int eh game! Forget fireballs! COMBUSTION destroys any and all enemies especially bosses and PVP

Yes the PC version had MODs you can add to make the game look way better… life bar mods… Bonfire mods…60 frame mods… this list goes on and on.
Check this guys walk thruogh out here… he is using all the mods on PC.. looks so much better!

I had a blast last night on Dark Souls! I put a summon sign down in the starting area and was immediately summoned … we went on to destroy Havel and then the Boss. then we went to the next one Bell Gargoyles and then the next one, Capra demon and then the next one, Depths dragon , then Qualag and Ceaseless Discharge, and on and on till we just about beat the entire game! Finished with 4 kings!

It was a blast… amazing thing is the guy was from Brazil. Technology is just amazing!

I got a ton of souls and humanity for doing this as well.

Its…its …beautiful! The return to the Painting World of Ariamis!

Well my Dark Souls 1 journey is almost to an end. Im currently at Manus Father of the Abyss and dude he is tough! That whole Chasm of the Abyss area is tough!

All i have to do is beat this guy and then head to the final boss Gywnn.

Excited to finally finish DS1 and move on to DS2!! yeah!

Good luck with Manus. I’ve heard people say he’s the hardest boss in the game, but I feel Kalameet is more difficult because 2 of her attacks are longer than the invincible frames on your roll, and they keep you close, so they’re more likely to hit.

Also, be prepared for thuggery in DS2. There’s a lot of things done poorly, and cheaply. Miyazaki didn’t work on it, but merely oversaw while he was working on Bloodborne.

Right, yeah its tough especially since I have been playing a lot of DS3 and BB… Ds1 feel so slow and the rolls are just like turtles!

That ■■■■ Dark witch in the Chasm …oh man…so salty!
