Hehe kinda. Jago used to fulfill that trope but now he went all natural and gave up his lasor sword. I think people actually want like a zero from megaman but as a human or cyborg. Maybe even a strider esque looking guy. After all Kim wu almost had strider orobouros orbs as her dragon while in development
True. In the original KI Jago sure seem to fit the description. His laser sword was actually laser (don’t know why they kept the special move’s name if the sword is no longer laser) and his armor seemed kinda metallic… either that or they couldn’t animate fabric properly back then!

A non-sword wielding cyborg ninja with a really cool gimmick. Love Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising. I think he would be perfect inspiration for a KI character of this type.
