Whatever his alien race is and what its called, they should’ve explained how he and his race are able to manipulate ice.
Plus they should’ve explained about his newfound rivalry with Cinder.
They did explain how the race is able to transform materials…
Wait,since Glacius controls random materials and stuff,what doe sthat have to do with Cinder being on fire? It made sense before since Glacius was an Ice being and Ultratech changed it to fire but controlling materials? How is that anyway gonna be fire?
Apprantley Glacius race can control whatever material that is around them. Glacius case is ice. the same principle can be used with Cinder except he was created with plasma and fire.
It could jut be that Glacius’ race can use random materials because of their own will, and while Ultratech stole the tech, they haven’t quite been able to figure out how to work it as well as the alien race does. Or its an ability only that race can use? It will be interesting to see how they ended up with fire as the material for him
It might just be that glacius is a freeze pop that gained consciousness through a solar flare and countless random ideas formed a spaceship that attracted aliens that maybe had a structure to manipulate sticks and ice into metal so…
UltraTech probably thought plasma and fire would be more useful in the long run than ice would be
Considering the lab he was made in is found near a volcano it shouldn’t take much to connect the dots. The DNA in Cinder allows him to control the material he was associated with. In this case, fire. Just as Glacius made an icey shell because of the cold arctic ice in the environment he ended up in. The same factor also explains the extra fingers, the appearance of his body, etc.
Either that, or Aria’s findings were that Glacius can control ice and she may have assumed that his race can do that. I know that sounds weird but considering Aria tends to blanket everything in one group, it’s safe to assume she thinks all of Glacius’ race does this. So incase of an invasion, Cinder would have fire as a way to dominate.
However this of itself is still a theory and not much more. We won’t really know why Cinder can use fire, but hey there’s a number of possibilities..

And Glacius is an alien space cop?
Plasma and fire aren’t “molecular structures,” therefore under the properties explained in Glacius’ bio, they can’t be controlled by way of Glacius’ inherent abilities.

Plasma is a fundamental state of matter, like solid, liquid, or gas. Plasma is what you get by superheating a gas.

Fire is just heat; the combustion of various gases.
Cinder, if his powers work like Glacius’, can’t control combustion per say, rather he controls the actual molecular structure of whatever gas he can manipulate (probably hydrogen…like the sun) which would produce combustion, or could enter a plasma state by being pushed as far as it could.
By this same logic, Glacius is similar Iceman (with the element that he has chosen to manipulate that is), in that he should be able to control molecules so finely that he can force water into the ‘absolute zero’ state.
Aside from the inaccurate statement I made this was exactly the point I was trying to make.

However you have to remember that Glacius’s race is naturally Psionically developed. Which is why his race can accumulate their environments to form a shell around themselves.
However Cinder developing and growing, and maturing like a normal Human, then later experimented on with Glacius’s cells gained the ability to accumulate his environment to form a shell; however, he lacks the Mental faculties to truly control and contain it let alone choose which materials to combine with. He’s stuck with what he inherently accumulated and worse he could not even control it (since humans aren’t psychic) to the point ARIA devised a suit to contain his rampant energies.
I need to visit the forums more often. Well cool story, but this makes me curious about what was Glacius’s original form before crashing on the planet, it also suggest that Glacius abilities go far beyond manipulating Ice. Could their be a fire Glacius? A rock Glacius? Is Glacius his real name? So many questions to be answered.
