Ahhhhhh nice magic eye. Funny how those work on a phone screen.
Hey, It’s a
shark
!
How do you figure Rash has to take risks to get in? Not every character can interrupt that wrecking ball (only those with good cHP can). A few of the smaller mobile characters can avoid it, I reckon. And once you block wrecking ball, the only reliable answers for anybody are shadow counter. Some can answer with a shadow move (Aganos’s rolling stone move, for instance). A move that forces the defender to use meter seems like a relatively safe opener, to me. What am I missing?
Sadira and Shago, though, could not agree with you more.
While a shadow counter is viable almost all the the characters can punish the move when blocked for example: back HP for glacius, down HP with omen, qcb HP with gargos, back LP for aganos, any character who has a DP, etc. it all depends on the timing but trust me when I say a blocked wrecking ball is bad for rash. The only exception would be if you blocked it and ended up in the opposite side that could possibly make you miss at times but not always.
Man, there is so much I didn’t know about that wrecking ball. All of these solutions (Gargo’s fireball back HP sounds especially fun). I thought wrecking ball into jMK was part of an official block string
With gargos you could do HK and get him but I love doing the command grab more, it’s riskier but you can do so much after wards.
I was mocked and ridiculed by the entire KI Reddit Discord server for only using gimmicks with Riptor and “not bothering to learn fundamentals.” Yeah, footsies in a game that almost never uses footsies. Reddit loves to complain about the most ridiculous stuff about the games that they still continue to play despite their hatred for it.
ACTUALLY, footsies are incredibly important in KI, especially at high level. Gimmicks will always destroy newish players, but fundamentals become a matter of life or death once you hit high level.
I honestly don’t think there are “gimmicks” in KI either. Each character has tools and if those tools are being effective, why should you NOT use them. If I am doing something that is beating the other player, then it is up to the other player to learn and adapt. Most of the time, when you hear somebody griping about “gimmicks” it is because they are simply unwilling to adapt.
The only time I get annoyed about a playstyle is when I face a person who hits you once and then runs the entire match and avoids all confrontation. I see this a LOT with noob Shadow Jagos. one fire ball and then they run the entire match.
Footsies exist in all FGs, they just look slightly different because of the surrounding mechanics.
I wonder if you get threads like this in the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 community… and if so… I wonder how players respond to them because that game is genuinely cheap and broken some times.
LoL… all the people ■■■■■■■■ about KI could just switch to UMvC3 and almost all their complaints could become Valid.
Stuff like this lol
And this 1 minute in and 3:30 minutes in, the old days of super healing in Shadow Lords with Jago
I was watching this video to learn how to escape that ■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■■ Gargos corner combo of hell.
Even with Instinct + DP it’s very difficult to escape especially if your character don’t have invincible DP.
In my case, I need to sit in the corner waiting for a shadow bar so I can finally invincible DP him.
I hate this corner combo so much! Now I’m training a Glacius just to beat it.
Easier way to beat it, hold up after blocking the St HP or hold up if it doesn’t come. Gargos has to read with the anti air grab otherwise you get a full combo punish.
As a Sadira main, I feel your pain. Ggs btw for our match in Ranked.
