Arcade mode

An easier method might be to simply base the ending on the difficulty. That’s kinda what they did with the SNES version with its endings…like they broke up he story end for each character into like 3 parts, and the higher the difficulty the more parts of the ending they would show. It’d certainly be more straight-forward.
Something else they could do along those lines is give you a different boss depending on the difficulty you select. Like the easiest would be Aria, the next 2 difficulties would be Eyedol, and the 2 hardest would be Boss Gargos…and maybe throw in Boss Shago in there somewhere for sh*ts & giggles, keep him a secret boss with the Akuma-like unlocking method.

Imho the key for a genuine arcade mode is the random order of the opponents, more opponents are random, better is the arcade mode 'cause it permits to fight a specific character (let’s say Spinal) at different difficulties and, so, with a different approach every time.
I would add only a rival (which would be the only fixed fight for your chosen character) and a different boss according to some condition satisfied in rival match or during the entire ladder (more or less like shago for S1 story mode) or even random boss.

Anyway, with all this talking about arcade mode I risk start believing…#togoodtobetrue #imuststayreal

that would be fine my problem with it is, what if I want to Aria on the hardest difficulty and on the hardest difficulty the boss is Gargos. I do not think difficulty should set the final boss unless implementing requirements to change boss fights is to difficult, that way people who only play one one difficulty still have a chance to see all the endings

I’d like a random boss.
It’d be real interesting to see the 11th character a kyle difficulty thunder or Kim wu.

Having gargos at the end of every arcade ladder would seem to be ho hum after a while idk

I think a classic ladder would be perfect, just like KI1 …

Remember? Spinal was Always the 1st boss. Fulgore was the sub boss, and Yedol was the final boss…

So we can kind of do the same thing with KI 2013. You know, a ladder of any size, or multiple sizes.
