WHERE THE HELL IS METROID NINTENDO. A REAL METROID. thanks!

A metroid isn’t a real thing. It’s a fictional alien species from a video game.

Always come back to Nintendo, honestly they still have the formula for Gaming, in a world were people have become over obsessed with high graphics and nativity and looks, Nintendo still knows how to keep the fun factor alive, after all that’s why we play… Very interested

Plus Nintendo still makes majority of Coach co-op games… It annoys me with all these developers going solely online for co-op, I know it’s a marketing tool but it is killing one of the most important factors of gaming, like I said, I’ll always run back to Nintendo

Wii U had a good handful of cool games… but I haven’t owned a Nintendo console since the N64. There’s just not been enough exclusive games (aka Nintendo games) that I’d want for me to actually get the consoles. But lucky me, I have friends who have one. ^^

Nintendo makes great games. That is absolutely true - and I have owned every Nintendo system ever. But they can’t release ten games every system generation and keep expecting to be relevant. There’s simply not enough product on the WiiU to make owning it make sense - especially if it’s your only console.

I’m interested in the NX, but not particularly hopeful.

I just want the new Zelda game, but its delayed - again.

This is what I’m talking about. WiiU needs a Zelda game. And if Nintendo is going to live and die by their first party properties they can’t release one Zelda game every ten years .

I’m not that interested in NX, despite being a lifelong Nintendo fan. They’ve really lost me in the last… 6 to 7 years with very few good first party games. I actually don’t have much faith in them anymore, and their policies towards fans in the internet era (the Youtube monetization program, among other things) shows a super backwards, archaic company that I’m not too interested in supporting. :disappointed:

One of the last straws for me as far as their gaming pedigree is concerned was Skyward Sword, which I think is one of the worst high-profile games Nintendo has ever made. Even the Zelda lore couldn’t save it, it was painful from start to end and only brought a smile to my face a small handful of times. I was cheering during the final cutscene that I wouldn’t have to play it anymore. I also used to love Smash Bros (the first fighting game I took super seriously was Melee, played for many years in tournaments), but I disagree fervently with almost every decision they made, gameplay wise, with Brawl and Smash Wii U, so they lost me there too.

I own a Wii U because of Xenoblade X and that’s it, really. Maybe NX will get me with a Xenoblade sequel, but… yeah, I dunno.

(On the plus side, Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii is one of the best games of last generation, a super memorable game whose soundtrack I will listen to for many years)

This is exactly why I havent owned a nintendo console since the N64.
That said, with sony and ms shying away from splitscreen/couch fun I’m taking a look again at a new nintendo console. I do miss my Zelda games. And always loved the kart and smash games…

To be honest, the only game I’ve put significant time into in WiiU is Monster Hunter 3. My kids use it for Skylanders, Disney infinity and Lego games because these actually make good use of the dual screen, but this is a convenience issue more than anything since those are all multi platform games.

So Xenoblade is that good huh? I always thought it looked interesting. I just never pulled the trigger on buying… maybe one day when the price goes down and Im not stuck in Bloodborne, Dark SOuls and Lords of the Fallen…Ill check it out!

I have a daughter who is turning 2 in 4 days, so by the time the NX releases she will be almost 3 years old. If shes a bit interested in games I’d rather have a nintendo console because I find a lot of those games more suitable and they have more party games.

@Infilament
The boss that somewhat ruined Skyward sword.
The buildup to the boss was atmospheric, tense and then, voila!

I’ve had all their consoles and portables (even the Virtual Boy), I’ll more than likely get the NX as well.
Honestly though, Nintendo has becime more second-tier when it comes to games in my hoisehold. They’re fun, everybody enjoys them, but when we want to do some serious gaming, we look elsewhere. I don’t know what it is…maybe just Nintendo fatigue…Mario games are always fun, but at the same time…eh.
