+The wildly different, yet wonderfully fitting character designs. Many of them feel new and unique and fresh in a genre that doesn’t usually get such descriptors, so that’s no small feat. They’re well thought out, well made, and all of them are a blast to play, even the ones that don’t appeal to me personally are still incredibly well done.
+Shadow lords. I know, it hasn’t even come out yet, but from everything I’ve seen so far, it’s the perfect single player mode fro me and I can’t wait to get my grubby little mitts on it.
+The rollout. I thought I’d hate the way this game was coming out, all piecemeal with characters here and modes there, but it’s actually become one of my favorite things about it, quite unexpectedly, I might add. As someone that loves collecting everything in a game, KI has kept me coming back for years now to unlock new colors and accessories, to try out new characters and play in new backgrounds and in new modes and I enjoy every minute of it. Had this game come out as a whole, I probably would’ve stopped playing it a long time ago.
-The consistency between seasons. By that, I mean the fonts, looking different here and there, with assets seemingly still left over from season one, but also it feels like some of the older characters seem a bit plain in comparison to the newer designs.
-Overall content polish. Shago has no accessories, Omen is missing some colors and some accessories. Orchid’s face still looks off and so does a lot of the hair in the game. Some of the season one outfits and accessories look really bad. There’s just certain things that look like they need another coat of polish or brought up to the standards of the rest of the game and it’d be great if the devs went back and did this.
-Lack of a respect taunt. I get that FGs are competitive, but not everyone enjoys being negative in a match, with t-bagging and negative taunts. People have been requesting a way to show that you’re actually a good person to play against / good sportsman for a long time now and it’d be great if this were implemented at some point.
