I’m just surprised the more orginallu characters are so far down the list.

YAY! Would love to see Ben Farris in the game as a Deathstroke style mercenary. I’d love it if he was post Transformation though. Like ARIA double crossed him and reversed her little experiment on him for being too volatile, opting instead for Cinder clones.
Not a fan of Sharkman. I see pictures that are supposed to look cool and it still looks like a joke character to me.
As for Shorchid, good lord. Like 80 posts out of 120 about her. You don’t like her, that’s fine, of course. But given that she’s Jago’s sister, I feel like some sort of familial bond could easily make her a target of Gargos and his Omens as far as a future plot line goes.
I love how people say she’s not an imaginative character, yet are themselves incapable of being able to imagine a scenario where she could be compelling. Seems like possible user error. You could say the same about me and Sharkman,except for the fact that I see the coolest visions of him and they still look really bad to me, whereas Shorchid,to me, has a ton of potential, and I don’t think I even voted her that high on my list.
That’s totally okay though! We don’t all have to like the same stuff. It’s all good.
As for new characters, Joanna Dark was my favorite guest (sad that Halo brute was so high on the list, as one Halo character in the game is enough for me), but all of the guests were at the bottom for me. I’d love to see a djinn and a magical archer!
Glad costumes were so high on the list, and VERY psyched for Thunder’s new costume!

I wish you could elaborate on this. What would bring in more players? A 4th season perhaps? Really wish you guys could give us a bit more insight in this regard, but get how it goes.
Burnt out? Not a chance! This is one of the best games I’ve ever played. I was showing it to a buddy of mine tonight who couldn’t believe I was playing a game steadily after three years. The concept was so foreign to him. He was amazed by what the game had to offer. Please tell me thatxKI 4 life is a reference to s possible season 4!
Ping. A Community Fund for any of Pretransformation Cinder, Mira Stage, Eyedol Stage, redone classic stage or two or perhaps a Human Sabrewulf would all be AMAZING. I’d be more than happy to help support the tourney scene if it meant getting any of these.
Wow that good?! I still haven’t had Peauads somehow. Worked in the loop for a few years by Pizzaria Ora (so so) and Gino’s East (ehh…). Art of Pizza is my favorite thin crust. Edwardo’s in Oak Park has a deep dish that’s on point. Definitely need to try Peauads though.
SO glad to hear it! I really want a Muay Thai Sadira look (pre Red Eyes of Rylai), a Shaolin monk inspired look for Jago, human Sabrewulf with a sort of feral hairstyle and two Vega claws, a hollow Glacius that actually shows us the alien inside the ice shell, Kan Ra as a human vizier, And so many more!
I’d be 100% down for this. I could see a rivalry between her and a Lovecraftian character being all sorts of cool and fun.

Wow, what a terrific textual stream. Thanks to @BlitzedKraig @TheKeits and @TempusChaoti (and any other developers whose name I missed) for taking the time to answer these questions and give us these updates. I know it’s challenging to provide info without putting out too much or the wrong type of message so I appreciate the work you put into these.
I haven’t read all of the replies, but I see a lot of people complaining that shadow Orchid is at the top of the survey. I will admit that she is not a character I ranked highly. Having said that, the thing about democracy is you have to accept the result when it turns out you are in the minority. If there is a popular demand for Shadow Orchis I’m confident that IG MS will take that concept and make it awesome. I was never really interested in shadow Jago but that character is anything but a boring clone of Jago. So have faith folks.

Yeesh I didn’t expect Shorchid to be so high, she is the least interesting of all the reimagined characters imo.
I can’t say I am not surprised, ever since it was announced that there would be guest characters. Lots people were clamouring for Joanna Dark to make it in (including me).
I am very happy that Lovecraftian is high on the list. Kinda sad that wendigo, and magic archer are so low however.
The most surprising thing about this survey is the fact that ultimates came in second place behind costumes… Lol

Havent read through the thread yet, but them taking into account ideas from the forums, is pretty nice, lots of cool ideas here. I would like to have them consider the Shadow Orchid version from I believe @Ravan86 (might be wrong going on memory here). That design looked awsome and if they give her a cool moveset, I might actually start playing her. Use it as an opportunity to create better hair for both Orchids aswell…
Also the way they are talking new content, I have a feeling they are dropping the season approach and going for a more traditional DLC model. With free updates and payed costumes/skins/characters…
Nice stream, looking forward to 3.6 so much more. Thunder’s skin is nice, PD changes are exciting. Maybe its hoping too much to expect some more Shadow Lords additions so soon.
Oh, just one more thing, the formatting of the stream. It was… a bit odd in places.

Looking at the way the discussions are going regarding online usage of ultra’s I’m seriously wondering if we need ultimates…(dont get me wrong, I’m all for options, just saying the need isnt that big)
With costumes you are not opponent reliant on whether you can use it…
At least it sets up a female Omen to possess Orchid. So that’s another cheapo character to make in terms of animations, etc.
Speaking as an ARIA main…
I was pretty much against PD as it was described before, but after reading the stream I’m okay with it. Reasons:
- Besides a few exceptions, there isn’t really that much PD in this game. Whether breakers take out 50 or 100% isn’t that much of a change. I assume the exceptions that generate a lot of PD will get adequately nerfed otherwise they’d be overpowered against everybody, not just ARIA.
- All characters only recover PD after 3 seconds now, so effectively this nerfs everybody in the roster besides ARIA. In those 3 seconds we have plenty of time to switch ARIA bodies and have it as good or as bad as everybody else.
- An active switching playstyle for ARIA means we have less to fear from PD than the rest of the roster as we can hide bodies away. Off the top of my head you can switch bodies on HKDs, launcher enders, after a blocked or whiffed opponent’s DP, at full screen from characters who have a hard time crossing that space, by popping instinct, between rounds and I’m sure there are a load more opportunities.
So yes, I’m positive for these changes and I have a pocket Omen these days too
