I’m not saying make everything free. lol Where are some of you getting that from? I’m saying make the original cast free if you want to grind it out because you don’t have the funds to buy a 20 dollar pack right now and you don’t want to risk spending 5 on a character you end up not liking. Another alternative could be you could unlock them for offline only, so training, shadow, and story modes for the original cast or some of the original cast.
I don’t think KI is in a good place to draw in new players and keep them. KI is not really f2p and it’s not really a demo, it’s in free to demo limbo.
Many would argue that the original cast are the best of the game. Why would most causal players spend any money after receiving Ryu, Ken, Cammy and Chun Li for free when in the eyes of many of the casual players those are the only attractive characters. Most casual SF players only play Shotos like Ryu, Ken, Akuma. In that case it wouldn’t serve well in terms of revenue.

While Mr. Isgreen may not be able to disclose to us a great many things both regarding sales figures or future content, a great many of us respect him. I was lucky enough to meet him one night while playing Destiny, and it made my day to see him message back. These guys, despite your conspiracy theory talk, have no reason to lie to us, and risk more to do so and be proven false. But I genuinely believe him when he gets on here to make a statement, as I do when Keits, Rukari, Ken Lobb, or any developer, community manager, or Microsoft associate comes on here to deliver us truth.
You on the other hand are convincing us not to believe them, without any shred of proof. There is someone in this thread being false, and it’s definitely not me.
Basically, he came on here to tell you to stop spreading misinformation. You then proceed with a frightening lack of humility to tell him how he is wrong, you have no honest truth what you are talking about. Well, this is a different game. Most of the characters don’t play alike at all outside of jago and Fulgore, which are both shoto clones. lol So you suggest not including those two? That seems reasonable and fair. Nothing I’m suggesting is written in stone. I trust MS and IG to come up with the exact number. Even one would be a big improvement on what they have now.
