I doubt anyone can fix it at this point and I’m super bummed about it but the Xbox PC APP version currently will not read controller support. forcing you to use keyboard and mouse. I’ve tested it by plugging in a Xbox controller and a Xbox elite controller which the pc registered but the game won’t. I’d check drivers, the game files, the Xbox app updated all of them rebooted my pc countless times. It’s 100% on KI’s end… even online I found several people say the same thing with no solution. Was super pumped play this on my pc instead of my Xbox for a change and sadly it’s not possible.
