Why Teabag?

Which would be like complaining about ultras, You know, the ones hwo complain about how Ultras should be broken.

Our community makes me chuckle sometimes.

KI is all about showing off, its about loud screaming in your face announcers and seeing how big your can combo your opponent and attempting to break someone else’s huge combo string. It’s about flashy characters and even flashier finishers, KI is the most intense and over the top fighter out there. Sometimes I’m left dumbstruck at how sensitive some people are, its like they forget that we’re on ultra-combo.com.

That is why I love KI its so intense. No other fighting game has had that luxury

I wish there was a peace out button for matches that have reached a final conclusion. Ultras are cool but if I’ve seen the same Ultra a million times I want to just move on to the next match already.

So I’ve been playing Overwatch a lot lately. Ever since Ana came out I’ve been using her sleep dart ability and I realized ā€œthis character is a teabagger’s dream!ā€ But if forcing your opponent to lie immobilized on the floor for a few seconds wasn’t bad enough she actually has an emote where she pulls out a cup of tea and starts dunking a teabag into it while she smiles at the camera! If this doesn’t prove that teabagging is something that’s supposed to be fun and harmless then I don’t know what does.

Honestly, it’s just really ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  to sit there and have to wait through a double or triple ultra and be tea bagged.

Seriously, I have other stuff to do. I could have been in another match by the point they are done stroking their ego.

Video games are supposed to be a hobby, something you do when you don’t have anything else to do.

I don’t think I’ll ever understand the rush some folks have to get through video games, doing an ultra combo has nothing to do with your ego and how you stroke it. Its a fundamental part of what makes Killer Instinct what it is, maybe its because I’m getting older and I’m in no hurry but I just feel like people need to chill out. Nothing personal but there is a reason the game keeps track of the highest combos, we should all be striving to reach the heights of ultra combo glory.

Sure in a competitive scene where time is actually a factor I can understand why those guys unplug their sticks and bounce before the announcer says winner but at home in the comfort of your own living room, where’s the rush? Enjoy life, games are supposed to be fun, if a few extra seconds of ultra combos is to much get up and stretch for a few seconds, go take a leak and get a beer, or rage quit if thats more suited to your fact paced lifestyle.

If I have a half hour or hour to kill, then I have only that amount of time. I would rather be playing the game than just staring at my screen doing nothing. Maybe you feel that you are in no rush, but perhaps I am quite busy and want to enjoy the hour I have in my busy day to its fullest.

Why is that desire so difficult to conceive or respect?

I don’t know, its just seems odd. I’ve never felt that way about video games. If I’m playing Halo and the other team is sitting on the flag instead of capping it to farm kills I don’t get upset that I need to be done with this game so I can move on to the next, I roll with it and have fun and that can take add extra ten minuets to a match. A few seconds here or there for an ultra combo seems negligible. But like I said, I’m generally not in a hurry. If I sit down to play games I know sometimes a match will drag on, or matchmaking might take its time, that’s just part of gaming. Or maybe that’s just me, I don’t know.

I can respect your opinions and feelings, I’m simply stating that I don’t relate to them. Ultra combos are part of KI, we’re having this ultra combo conversation on Ultra-combo.com, if you are annoyed by ultra combos so much I don’t know why you’re playing this game. Kidding of course, but you see what I mean? Anywho I didn’t mean to insult you if I did, I’ve just been playing KI since the original in the arcade and I’ve taken my licks plenty of times, that’s the price you pay for loosing a match. Not once did I ever see a kid get mad because the other guy’s ultra was taking to long.

@DiGiJUL3S you are the reason T-bagging exists. Because it makes you mad, and makes you want to fight someone in real life.

If you would just chill out, and stop taking it seriously, your game would improve, and it would make other people t-bagging you a useless effort.

(If you let people know that you hate T-bagging, it’s like having a giant neon sign over your head that says ā€œT-bag me for a free win!ā€)

I don’t hate it ? Lol I’ve only been tea bagged a few times. I really don’t care much about it either way, but I do however know that there are people out there with certain personality types that really do find joy in doing stuff like that. More than likely because they are miserable human beings and don’t have much else going on in their life.

You didn’t insult me. You just seemed kind of flippant about the issue.

It’s not the losing part. I mean, ā– ā– ā– ā– , I lose all the time. I’m lucky if my exhibition record is 50:50. And hopefully I’ve learned something from a loss. So losing is not the issue; neither is the Ultra. It’s the multiple Ultra combos and the waste of my time for my opponent’s ā€œvictory lapā€.

At least that’s how I view it. When an opponent just ends the match or the Ultra quickly, I think to myself, ā€œAwesome. I’m ready for the next one. Let’s see what I can do differently.ā€ I get the impression that my opponent is here to play the game and play it well.

I get you but I don’t really like the separation of those who ultra and those that don’t being some kind of showing of skill or their dedication to the game. To me winning a match, holding onto your instinct and going for a huge combo is just part of the game. It doesn’t matter if its a CPU or a guy in ranked play, if I beat you I’m going to see what kind of style and flair I can get away with before I drop the combo. Its nothing personal, I’m not trying to waste the other player’s time, its just part of the game and I’d expect people to do the same to me.

That being said, I’m not the best player and I can barely pull off a double ultra let alone a triple or quad one for that matter but you can sure as hell bet if I have a full bar of instinct and I get a supreme with Shago I’m going to do an ultra into ultimate just because its badass.

I’m not trying to make money off of the game or something so I don’t take it all that seriously, play to win but play for fun.

For me It’s almost always the Shago’s that teabag. Even after doing a triple ultra. :rage:

For me it’s just the whole aspect of being a poor winner, when people scrape a victory by the skin of their teeth, then decide to be a douche canoe about it.

Suddenly, they drop this huge ultra when they’ve been dropping inputs like crazy in the actual match, locking out and falling for tactics that are fundamental in other fighting games, it’s like, why couldn’t you have managed that much execution in the match itself? xD

Teabagging is very poor sportsmanship and is usually people who will eventually rage quit when you do paste them, in my opinion, it’s better to be gracious in both victory and defeat, especially as I’m always on the look out for people to play with, being an ā– ā– ā–  to somebody may be entertaining in the short term, but long term it’s more enjoyable to make friends to play with.

You know? After my last match yesterday against a 4 stars i just don’t care anymore. He spent the entire match taunting after every movement. when i reached 50% of the second bar i just left the joystick on the table and let him taunting alone without moving until he realized that i ā€œwas not thereā€ anymore. When he finished i turned off my pc and went to bed for a good sleeping night.

Was a good night. LoL.

Sounds like a girl in a bad relationship she want to leave but hasnt yet LOL

Fought a Thunder yesterday whom I could not win against. Despite him clearly taking the matches he teabagged and taunted repeatedly. I was bothered by it just because he was intentionally being a douchebag oppose to using it as mind-games.

Faced a Kim Wu player who began the game teabaging and taunting… this one was strictly done for mind-games and I knew. I will admit I was still salty from my previous match so I may have returned the favor during the second-life break, shameful :disappointed:. Either way, he said good games at the end so I didn’t hold it against him or even glorify my win in arrogance.
