KI doesn’t have a face. Most of the time,it is represented by the logo.

technically this is true. If you break it down: Fulgore’s modern look is basically classic, just stylized to modern cyborg/robot designs.

Perhaps in the older versions of KI, however I disagree to that order. When I first saw KI the face was Fulgore and Jago, both representing good and evil and also the face of the cover. Also keeping in mind that Jago was even given an alternative character in the release of the game for those who played Season 1, Shadow Jago. While, Fulgore was released last in the season and was the most welcomed character to the series.

I never thought Gargos would become the face of the KI franchise. But he might be THE face of S3. hehe

The face and the protagonist aren’t the same person. Jago is the main protagonist because the overarching end game villian (gargos) is his antagonist. Fulgore is the face of Killer Instinct because he’s the most marketable. Fulgore is on the front cover of everything.

I guess I was right to ask this question. Undoubtedly a fun addition but his face is everywhere online.

When the dust settles, it will remain Jago and Fulgore.
I don’t know how much not having his own stage hurts him in the long run but certainly a very solid character that deserves to be played. Also, I wouldn’t want him to not return in a sequel…
Imo fulgore would definitely be the poster boy of the old KIs however for this game specially I would say jago.
PS.
I would like the cover of KI changed to show in the bottom middle jago and shago split down the middle with the good guys on the left, the shadow lords on the right, and ultratech characters with fulgure right above. When I get the chance I’ll draw something up to show what I mean if anyone is interested.
