Where are you stuck at in ranked?

I’m in the middle of gold. However I didn’t spend a good amount of time to level up. So I’ll see if I play one more day in ranked.

Because of the resets, I can try something new. I get to find out my rank for each character. Was killer with riptor. Reset. Gold with tusk/arbiter, and now I have reset to see how good I am with rash. I plan to reset for new character and see how far I can get during their first month.

I got into silver several days ago and haven’t really had the chance since. I really just wanted to see if I could make it out of bronze after only playing for a few hours collectively and I managed even with all the good players still in the bottom ranks trying to climb up also.

I feel like when you qualify, it should put you into either top bronze or mid-silver depending on how well you do. Maybe that’s too much, but it would help those of us who are struggling to learn while getting absolutely destroyed. Also, better match making would probably help out as well. Getting put against a silver player as your first match in bronze is kind of disheartening when they’re destroying you and taunting you the whole time.

I’m at zero in gold. I see the phenomenon @MrxFlutterShy is describing and I thought I had broken through the other day - rose to over 100 in gold. But I managed to fall back down.

I’m maining Tusk and haven’t even tried my old main Glacius. I’m curious to know if I would do better with him (I’m pretty sure I would) but I’m still having fun with Tusk. Well, I will be having fun after this stupid two week trip is over…

“i just necro’d a thread, and it feels so gooooooooood”

so now that I’ve had a few weeks to get used to playing the new KI and Kim (pre-patch Kim, for future reference) I can better answer the thead by saying it’s going to take a while to climb out of gold. bronze and silver were relatively easy to coast through, and now in gold, there’s all these S1 characters and a whole lot of specific KI tech that’s being bombed in my face. Now I have to do things like study matches and get some more advice to beat most of the other golds. In 20 years of fighting games I’ve never studied my own matches or gotten/received advice:p

The reason gold us harder for some now is, because they are best 2/3 now. The only tipsI can give us wait for them to mess up, then punish. If they break your combo every time I the same stop, then use a counter break. Most will fall for it every time, because they have trained themselves to break when they can, and will do it out of habbit.
