I always saw KI as “Darkstalkers meets Biker Mice from Mars” and I would have it no other way. It’s dark, sure. but in a very over the top way, not unlike the first MK games which were gritty, but also self-aware and kind of cheesy. MK nowadays takes itself too seriously I think, and I wouldn’t enjoy that happening to KI too. KI can still have an amazing cyberpunk setting and a quirky cast without looking and sounding like an M-rated Avengers movie (I guess I should specify that I hate Marvel movies).
Tbh that would have been an interesting movie, even a potentially good movie if done well, but nowadays Disney would just f uck it up.
Just thought of this, but I want No Mercy’s back.
IMHO: while Kilgore can stay because he’s a separate entity, because of the story Shago and Shin Hisako can not co exist with Jago and Regular Hisako in the sequel. So I say make new characters to inherit the movesets of Shadow Jago and Classic Hisako.
Ya know, I honestly just thought it’d be nice to come back here after some time away given that KI’s been putting out new content which kinda gives me some hope for the future of the franchise. I didn’t really come here for a debate. Figured we’d all just kinda share our ideas but I guess you can’t understand and accept the fact that not everyone sees these games the way you see them and I’m not in the mood to argue over my own preferences.
I didn’t crap on any of your ideas that I thought were “lame” or “weird” or stuff that I just flat out disagreed with. I tried to focus on the ideas of yours that I liked rather than trying to force my opinions on you. I’ll just ■■■■ off then.
Honestly if anyone should ■■■■ off it’s me. I’m the one who’s constantly made to feel unwelcome. By all means, you hand around. I’ll just go.
Yeah, it would be cool to see some of the old moves and combos come back, including some from KI2/Gold where certain combo combinations can result in new moves/animations. For instance, in KI2/Gold, one cool combo Sabrewulf had was he would howl up at the sky and juggle his opponent with these blue flames that would shoot up from the floor before finishing off with a haymaker.
To Bring Back Mick Gordon.
Along with Robin Beanland and Kev Bayliss.
And you should continue to do so.
