What are you playing?

It is somewhat disappointing. They spent a lot of time and money on first class hand drawn art. But they can’t get online code that Indy games like Castle Crashers have had for over a decade. Why you would even conceive of a modern beat em up that doesn’t allow multiplayers games mixing online and local multiplayer is beyond me. But Capcom did this with Ultimate Alliance 3 on Switch as well. And the Behemoth is two guys working from their houses so it can’t be a crazy technical challenge.

All that aside, it’s a great game. I was always a final fight guy and only occasionally played genesis at a friends house. But this game is nostalgic for sure.

I got Lucky Today in the Vallis (Warframe)

To give you some Context…
Defeating The Profit Taker usually only drops 125K Credits and one Single Crisma Toroid… Howver through some aggresive Booster Stacking and a lot of RNG I was able to get 8 Times that in only 7 Minutes…

I’ve been playing PSO2 lately. Now that I’ve almost figured out what I’m doing it’s fun.

I’m really enjoying Halo 5: Guardians, the Campaign is far better than I was led to believe. I also picked up DOOM 64 and am enjoying that for the first time; the only classic DOOM game I’ve never played before.

I’ve been playing Legends of Runeterra lately. It’s surprisingly fun, and pretty appealing as a middle-ground between MTG and Hearthstone. It’s also fairly generous about letting you build the exact deck you want out of the gate without paying real money.

I completed my second playthrough of “Shadow Lords,” my first on “Challenging.” It wasn’t too hard, honestly, and I’m happy I unlocked the Astral Planes. I only had team members die a total of three times, one of which was in the Gargos fight (and I almost had him with my first character!).

I’m now doing another playthrough of DOOM (2016) on Ultra-Violence.

Learning Eagle, so I can practice a different archetype of character. He’s pretty fun so far!

Eagle’s the one character I never took the time to mess with/learn lol just couldn’t get into his flow.

Aside from KI, I been playing FF7R again, and on and off SSBU.

I’ve been playing Persona 5 Royal. There’s this mini-game called Tycoon. I fell in love with it to the point where I can stomach having a bad hand while playing on the most serious difficulty level; Cutthroat.

And now i want to play Sekiro again…
Its rare for someone to actually change the way they think about games like this. I personally thought it was impossible. You either felt one way about it or another way and wouldnt change no matter what… but apparently Sam did change the way he felt about this experience so much he wanted more of it. Which is sad because theres basically no more. Games rarely get made in this manner these says (this started happening around 2007 i think). But as long as we have Backwards compatibility then i myself can atleast just keep replaying those experiences.

I finished The Last of Us Part 2. It was alright, but the structure of the game was all over the place with one act feeling a bit too long and the others feeling rushed. It felt like they had a lot more they wanted to say and do, especially with
Abby
, but had to cut and rework a lot of it along the way, making the pacing and narrative feel sloppy at several points.

As a sequel it was pretty bold and poignant, though. It genuinely felt like the only justifiable continuation of the story they could have come up with, so I can’t fault the direction. Combat was also better than ever, and I really wish they’d make a dedicated mode for it.

Got to play Primal Rage 2. (Mostly fighting my brother)

first I’m gonna get the negatives out of the way and get it done with.

THE BAD

First off! I can’t the game much because it remained in complete. But so far the ne thing I think they should’ve avoided was using humans for Primal Rage’s roster. While I’ve heard the reason was to make the game competitive access we are also talking the same community that would have a Riptor main back in the 90’s. Even to this day we have mains from Sabrewulf, to Riptor, to even Yoshi and Pikachu in smash bros. I think they could’ve added more beasts to the scene. But I’m spending too much time on this.

Some moves went missing for reasons unknown but I think that’s most likely because the game was unfinished. Which is likely the reason for everything here on this list.

You only fight 4 of the draco gods in single player
Many have moves that are unfinished.
some of the stuff is glitchy
the stages looked unfinished

Everything on this list makes it understandable so I won’t hold the game harshly for that.

So now that’s over with the bad stuff. Lets get to the good stuff because there are plenty.

THE GOOD!
First it was very clever of them to take some of the throws from the the previous game and make it into a simple throw like in most fighting games. I beleive this competitive decision with gameplay was a smart move.

Universal command set. While this is not entirely a good idea, I think its a great way to help folks get into fighting games. I haven’t tested out to see if finishers were like this sense most of those were accidental when I activated them.

Speaking of moves, the way it was done in the first game is no longer there. From what I understand that was one of the criticisms about the first. In which case you will love how the controls are more consistent with fighting games. There can still be the issue with spamming But you won’t get a way with it forever. (Trust me, My bro and I tried and failed. and it won’t be effective for long.

The Combo System is good. It’s not as grand as Killer Instinct’s but still awesome non the less.

The new characters Slashfang and Necrosan are a welcomed addition to the roster and fun fact! Necrosan was supposed to be the boss for version 3.0 of Primal Rage. But according to the games maker, they wanted a sequel, so Necrosan had to be saved for the sequel, and also, the return of all the characters from the first game as well. This is usually rare in fighting games.

Some final thoughts on the good stuff.

Smooth animation. Despite being claymation, The animation is still polished. The Music was an squired taste at first. Wasn’t fond of it at the begining but it was good after giving it a listen to.

Especially when it made my bro do this.

Over all Primal Rage gets a 8.9/10. It’s not perfect. They could’ve left the human human avatars out and replaced them other creatures they could mix in. Even with some of the flaws and glitches its still polished.

Here’s more info about it here.

I just played the RE2 Remake and it was awesome. I also just finished Evil Within (after dying an impressive number of times) and started the sequel. Amazing games.
And KI :slightly_smiling_face:

im also playing tsushima, i put it on hard mode and its just right for me in terms of difficulty. the fights are challenging and can get very tense. i love doing the sheathe emote after i kill a group, jin will clean the blade off using the crook of his arm which is ■■■■■■ awesome and one of my fav things to see samurais do. cuz its so ■■■■ cool

Ghost of Tushima is awesome …if you like a combination of Horizon Zero Dawn/ tomb Raider mixed with Sekiro/ Nioh… its awesome! I love it! I think I like it better than Sekiro… Sekiro is too hard..I cant be Father Owl no matter how hard I try. And Im no SOuls chump… Ive beat them all but I cant beat this ■■■■■. I gave up. Sekiro is amazing…but its not fun anymore once you cant progress.
Ghost of Tushima is all I play right now.

I do agree it needs to be on the hardest difficulty… medium is a bit too easy.

I put it on hardest difficulty from the start and was afraid I would have to tone it down. Now I’m surprised how easy it still is, Sakai’s moves are simply too powerful. Enemies should be tougher.

I agree on Sekiro too btw

Yeah Father Owl is one of the Dirtiest Fighting Bosses of Video Games this Decade. I have no advice for him specifically. He hits hard and hits Fast (Infact hes the only Boss in the game that can Mikiri Counter You) and he will Fight Dishonorably.
In any case I think the aspect I like most about Ghost Of Tsushima is the Guiding Wind. Ive never seen any other Developer attempt to do anything close to that.

Theres no shame in not being able to Progress… I have yet to Defeat The Radiance and Nightmare King Grim in Hollow Knight.
But Dan did :open_mouth:

If you Ask me… I say he cheated :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

once you get decent armor, you can wreck everyone without even needing the mythics attacks. i did notice upon entering the 2nd act HP is increased on opponents. the ronin guys are tough but only cuz they dodge. i have a feeling once i can perfect parry consistently this ■■■■■ done lol gonna slaughter the whole island for giggles
