Yeah, getting behind the opponent via mist would have been a bit less awkward than the spin…maybe they tried the mist and it didn’t look as good as they thought? I dunno. Whatever the case, what’s done is done.

It seems like she slits your throat then drinks your blood. After watching it a few times just to see what’s happening I can get behind this ultimate.

It’d be cooler if she had her gold skin while that’s going on since it already shows blood coming from her mouth.

Lol…it’d be funny if on Kilgore/Fulgore/Aria after she bites them you see her do a spit take because she just drank robo-fluids (hydrolic? Oil? Power steering??)

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it weird that we didn’t get word we would see Mira’s ultimate today and that it still hasn’t been put up anywhere except YouTube? I feel like we usually get word on Twitter that a new ultimate will be shown and so far the only place it’s been officially posted to is YouTube, which is just as strange to me. I’d understand if there’s some sort of issue, but so far it just feels like MS/IG have disengaged from us.
As far as Mira’s ultimate goes, I’m gonna file it under the “it’s not the best, but it’s alright for its simplicity” along with TJ’s.

I think her ultimate should have been some version of her back+HP, followed by 10 to 12 bite animations in progressively faster and fiercer succession. They could’ve finished with her throwing her head back and a stream of blood.
This is purely speculation, but from what I’ve heard about Crackdown 3 I think MS may be laser-focused on making sure its launch goes well, because from what I understand, it’s currently not.

Maybe it wasn’t announced because they knew it would replace TJ for worst ultimate.
If you ask me she should have used a bat swarm that would rush the enemy at high speeds, launch the opponent into the air, make the bats fly up, smack the opponent back down towards Mira, then have her waiting with her scythe and slice them at the last second. and cut the camera at the last moment like they did with aria.
that would have been dope IMO
I mean, I thought it was alright myself. She drank all her opponents blood and left them dry like a vampire would. Anything with the scythe dealing the killing blow would have probably been better, because I do agree that this will be weird with most of the non-human characters, especially Spinal and Aganos who have no fluids to spare and I personally would have loved to have heard the opponent let out some horrific unholy screaming as she was biting/sucking them (unless the intent was that she hypnotizes them into silence with that bending sway before the bite), but honestly I still like it. Very classical with the dancing dip into the bite.

Ideas are great and all, but they don’t always pan out in reality.
Her ultimate is two of her basic moves. What a let down. I hate the argument when people say these are censored etc. I don’t want mortal kombat level fatalities in KI but why is the bite offscreen. We see her do it at least 20+ times in a match with her linkers and command grab.
Maybe that was their way to avoid any awkward positioning with some of the larger characters. Though I can’t say for sure
Most likely. However why use one of her basic attacks if it’s going to create a problem like that then. Give us the bats or something else. The bite as the final blow in her ultimate and We know that is literally does ZERO damage.
I think her ultimate is OK.
But after the constant waves of complaints I am 100% they will stop after this pack of Ultimates.
