I’m playing a videogame about monsters and cyborgs, so I can suspend my disbelief and assume that a golem and an alien can fight between them. But all the characters follow similar rules of nature at some extent.

There is gravity, for example. All the characters remain grounded, they can jump, but gravity pulls them to the ground again. Some of them have special ways to challenge gravity, like Gargos using his wings. Sadira has some unnatural powers, so I can suspend my disbelief and accept that she can double jump. BUT, all characters are corporeal: None of them can go through a wall without breaking it or doing some short of magic. Jago can’t jump, go through Aganos’ cave roof, and then come back from there without breaking it. Because we can accept a skeletal fighting, but we can’t accept a physical being going through a wall without using magic/damaging it.

That’s the reason of the black screen. You avoid shooting extra camera angles for a stage which is not prepared for that, and you can just go nuts, it doesn’t matter where you are. Sky, walls, are no longer a limitation

I can accept that a superhuman monster punches you through the ground, ad goes through the earth. But this super is the same if you perform it in the Watchtower stage, which is a space station. It doesn’t makes sense, since you should fall into space, not in the earth, when performing this super. Your suspension of disbelief doesn’t work here: there is an obvious fail in this sequence, since it’s ilogical, even if you accept superheroes, magic and all that stuff

Perfect example : 3 and if anything I view it as a spiritual sucessor to old school KI’s darkening background but taking it one step further.

The only thing I don’t like about that ultimate that was previewed is the little flash and whatnot at the start, its like the start of an ultra or stage ultra. Shago’s ultimate just goes right into it, that doesn’t really look consistent.

I’m sure they were just cutting that in, likely cause I think they must of activated the Ultimate by accident, then again it is a stand in, so maybe it’ll be smoother along the way?

Or maybe they’re just adding (or maybe it’s already in the game not sure) the ability to cancel into it out of an ultra.

Cause that’s what happened. That flash wasn’t part of the ultimate.

Honestly I don’t think that ultimate we saw will be the “final product” I have a feeling they’re still tweeking it. We’ll just have to wait and see.

[image] The white board says: “Ultimates in Feb” (Side note: Since there is conspiracy about whether or not Ultimates will be microtransactions or not… Was the “4 Wins” and “99 Seconds” in the ultimates trailer video a message that they would cost $4.99?) (Please tell me i am finally the first one to figure something out.) this was what gave it away, if i am correct.

weight you have to pay for Ultimate’s I sure hope not to pay for a finishing move is sort of bogus they should just be implemented with a update. If you buy a character and dont get the finishing moves its like paying for half a character that is pretty lame.

We don’t know that yet. However I wanna say this: WOOOO I’m hyped for next month! I wonder when though.

And as I suspected Ultimates are gonna be coming in waves cause well there are a ton of characters to get through.

Now I dunno why we’d have to pay for them, but hopefully not, but just in case, I’m gonna save up to be sure.

Also I got the perfect name for Fulgore’s ultimate if it’s a suped up Devastation Beam. Call it the “Hype Beam” because it would not only be a reference to the community but it really would be hype.
