I am currently at work in US, although I was (at end of last year) slated to go work overseas by this time in 2017.
Being stuck in the visa office would mean that I was still on track to go work overseas at some point in the near future, as opposed to an ill-defined “later”, which is where I stand now. Ergo, I would be ok with having to deal with the (convoluted, slow, and altogether frustrating) visa application process, because it would mean that my desired work opportunity was imminent as opposed to delayed.

I get the feeling your vocabulary is/was much more colorful. And speaking from my own experience with company travel, getting shafted on things like that suck.
Kinda makes up for it that my job usually allows colorful language to fly freely…
Oh, and GGs to my Mom’s dog Ninia, who thought the USB cable from my controller to the Xbox was a toy. Thus, she chewed it up nicely and yanked an Xbox to the ground…

@STORM179 after 4.5 hours, they finally called me up and then rejected my application for lack of a letter that is not a listed requirement. I’ve never been so ■■■■■■ in my life. Mother €%>|>|>|!
