Funny sets, as always! Playing against you always reminds me how vicious can Sadira be with her flipout :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah GGs. Let’s do it again and raise our character levels even higher next time. Thanks again.

I’m looking at Infil’s guide on my phone now as I have no idea what Omen’s moves were supposed to do, lol. So many characters that I never touched before haha

Alright, I’m going to have a bit of time today and with my new arcade stick I want to get in some more practice with my Omen. Anyone up for any FF5 or FF10 sets with me later tonight? I can’t play a ton at the moment but I definitely want to get in some more practice

I just have to brag a bit and say GG to @Thunderb3E. We had a long marathon FT15, and while I won, it wasn’t by as much as you’d think I probably would have. Oh, and I got him to stop swinging for the fences with Shago’s annhiliation…it was surprisingly easy. I just told him that if he used it again he had to go to bed. Still, for the next WTF tournament I think you guys are going to have a fierce competitor on your hands, not that you didn’t already. #prouddad

Where’d you go today, @Chr0n0s312? You wanted help with your Spinal, and you vanished without a trace right after our 1st and only match! Did you have an emergency? Was I not helpful or good enough? What?!

…If it was the latter, I was experimenting and learning with Kilgore, so naturally I wouldn’t be all that great. You didn’t even get a chance to see me at my best with my main!

Did you want me to play as Spinal to show you a few setups? If so, you only had to say so.

One match isn’t enough to truly learn anything, for yourself or about another player.

As it stands, your friend, @ReidThePlayer, and I had an awesome time (I added him to my friends list too)!

Wish you had been there… :disappointed:

Ggs to @INDIxion for a couple matches we had in ranked!

We fought each other in ranked 2 times, Kilgore(me) vs Cinder(Ixion), and both of us take the MU as a space control fight, zoning and getting the other slowly into the corner. I really had a lot of fun with those matches, they were slower than the average KI fights, and we even managed to get a timeout two times :stuck_out_tongue:

Not the first time I got timeouts in that MU bro hahaha.

GGs again. =)

GGs to @PTYGreenkraken.

I ran into him in exhibition while practicing and leveling my Kilgore. He beat me square 10-0 using Tusk, along with a very solid defense and neutral pokes into solid combo strings.

That matchup was interesting - the damage disparity between the 2 characters is insane and I had trouble finding ways to open him up, especially up close, and could barely keep away. It was often difficult to tell if the shots hit him or not, so I was often not sure if I could use the former to cool-down cancel into a combo (and I still struggle to get yhe cool-down cancel to work - either the timing is really strict, I’m too slow, or both).

The headbutt was also too slow and easily deflected, and the c.LK always led immediately into an unwanted, and very punishable, DP. The groundshot was useful off of throw, but often whiffed (__EDIT:__I’ve recently discovered a single backdash into groundshot helps prevent this) just as much. When it worked though it offered me an opportunity to escape and gain space with L. metal ball.

Speaking of which, I’m still struggling with finding good uses for metal ball (still working on spacing for potential crossup opportunities, but can make good use of it to escape or while the opponent’s in the corner) as well as the missiles. With the latter, I still get punished for using them on hard knockdowns, where I thought they would largely be safe or at least help open up my opponent…

The best match I had involved a lot of shadow counters and counter-breakers despite still losing (I almost had him in the danger zone). I’ll share it in the analysis thread later tonight after class.

So far, I’m enjoying the challenge Kilgore represents.

I’m not the first to say this, but even losing, you don’t need to put the score. But since A LOT of people already told you that and you still goes by it, forget I said nothing

Using these against a character who has a dp AND reflect is not a good idea. I would go with mid range approach or punish unsafe moves against Tusk

Nice, this is very important when you are in the corner, so you can get some spin speed AND leave the corner.

Besides this interaction, I would suggest you to use heavy missiles, backdash, and c.mk as meaty, after which you could go for some mixups with H metal ball, throws… All safe due the missiles

Throw->H missiles-> backdash should work fine

Also, I would suggest you to use metal ball when overheated, since it’s safer on block

GG to @ItzTymeToDul. We had a FT10. I almost got him once. Still, I learned a good deal. :+1:
