Well, after day 2 of Operation: I Shall Become An Intermediate Jago, I have come to 2 conclusions:
- Jago is actually a lot of fun
- This character is really, really good. I mean, I always knew this, but actually playing him brings it home just how good he is. He may have some issues in neutral sometimes (especially w/ S2 characters), but once he gets on top of the opponent he’s just an absolute monster. Fantastic meaty buttons, great high/low options, and another setup off the throw. Jago’s oki and pressure games are super legit, and he gets ridiculous damage off any mistake within the combo game.
Going about 75% with him now, so getting to where I’d like to be. Still can’t take people who really know what they’re doing though, so have quite a bit more work to do.
Bonus Conclusion: anti-air heavy DP’s are super satisfying 
Lol I want to face your Jago now. Sure it’s only the second day, But you playing Jago makes me want to share all my Jago tips to you. Lol I have a need to share tech. Is that a bad thing? XD

I’ll be glad to teach you what you are doing wrong, right, and in between. I’m even taking your advice, and putting a splash of Yolo in my Jago play, and have gotten good results. Even to where fighting a Hisako AI on Killer or Ultimate (Kyle), I can always usually bring it’s health bar to the second round. And I’ve also had success with other matchups too.
But yeah, any time in the afternoon is good. I’ll just demand a set like I normally do.

As an advance warning, lack of manuals will be one of the things I’m doing wrong. I started off trying to incorporate them into my play, but found it was distracting me. I care more about controlling neutral and applying scary oki pressure than being difficult to break (which is more a function of pure execution/character familiarity), so I’ve been focusing my efforts there in lieu of trying to be hard to break.
For Jago however, It’s kinda needed, in order to be REALLY scary. But, I will explain when we eventually play, so no need to worry. Glad you are focusing on spacing first. What I would like you to practice, is Max range on all normals, into confirms. That will definitely help with spacing.

GGs @Goldbaum You got a nice Thunder but my Riptor is just a bit racist against Natives. In fact,I think Ultratech hates them in general.

The wait for Season 3 is getting more difficult now that we’ve gotten a glimpse behind the curtain, right? At least it feels that way for me.
