I wish several characters would speak a different language rather than English. They did it in Season 1 with Thunder and Sadira, why not the rest of the cast? Or at least have an accent other than a US American sounding one. Maya, Kan-Ra, Kim Wu, Gargos need their native language or at least an accent. It just feels off hearing Kan-ra speak.
Remember KI2? Why did Orchid, Jago, and Kim Wu all speak Japanese? I know it’s Japanese because I studied that in high school and I lived on Okinawa.
Aganos needs to sound more Chinese.

You know, Kan-Ra is about 2500 years old, so he’s pretty much justified in speaking English for all of the time he’s been alive studying magic and languages.
Plus, Maya has traveled around the world battling monsters, surely she would’ve picked up a few languages. Kim Wu mostly lives as a American citizen, and Gargos may have picked up English from studying the humans on Earth.

Works better. Sadira speaks Tai I believe (or was thai?), thunder speaks…not sure the language, Kim can speak chinese, hisako speaks japanese, aganos grunts, kan-ra speaks…whatever. I’m sure he’s just fluent in english. Maya is a amazon/hispanic like her sister so yeah.
It’s fairly diverse for what is. I like it, it’s not full on tekken where everyone speaks in their native tongue to others in their native tongue, then it just looks weird.
And since English is the international language they can all understand and be on the same page. Unless of course you’re either ARIA or glacius who can basically speak any language via tech like ARIA or telepathy like glacius.

Actually AND more specifically, she was TAUGHT how to speak Chinese along with Russian according to her new expanded backstory
