I will teabag my friends, as I stated, but I only do it for fun and just as an insult to myself and the situation and same goes for my friends. Those situations are understandable, it’s all in fun -check. I won’t cry about it nor block someone, that may be a bit to far for me. I will just not play them because of how poor of a sport that person may be. As you say, I will be on the next game and feel okay. I do still find the action unnecessary in a situation where both competitors are seriously putting effort into the match.
Agreed, but in regards to people just swearing you can easily mute them and avoid the various instructional methods on how to kill yourself. Taunting is implemented into the game and yes it can be used similar to tea-bagging but just by tea-bagging alone that person is making the extra effort to be an absolute douche-nozzle more so when they taunt and teabag. I normally don’t let that stuff phase me, but it is harder to do so whenever I am extremely focused and into the match then I lose by a small mistake made which they capitalize with a teabag.
I had a video up, But I don’t want to revengeful or something. Forget that post! ![]()
Before I answer with my two cents on the matter, how do you get best of x number of matches in ranked? I can only ever play one match at a time with a player…
Personally, I will taunt between rounds and at the end if I’m feeling particulaly in the mood for it (whether it’s because I’m salty or feeling glad I triumphed over an annoying player). Since tea bagging doesn’t actually make a sound, it’s less problematic. Players whom I don’t know and are frustrating me only seek to anger me further due to taunting me.
I will happily taunt among friends and players who I know - I actually had a fellow player taunt me several times during the match and he lost because of it. Thus I taught him a valuable lesson in the process - don’t taunt during matches, only between rounds and at the end of matches.
My opinion on this matter can vary depending on character etc as well, this is a generalisation of my thoughts at the current moment.
when you achieve killer rank, leagues are 2 best of 3
Are there people out there stealing the “RM” tag? I know there was rm jagoblake. I just got taunted and teabagged by rm Eviler. I won but it still happened
I don’t know the clans well enough to dictate who is legitimate or not. I did make a post about this and it was just based on who knew who but there is no official way of knowing. I suppose just base it off from how many times you see them at tourneys.
From what I’ve seen some people do that alot, and pretend to be a clan member or something. I know Call of Duty has tons of “Fake” Faze Clan people. On KI, I fought a guy with NS at the front of his gamertag, but out of all the NS guys I’ve seen have the NS at the end of the gamertag. You’d kinda have to know where they would put stuff like that.
Like an example would be:
Ostrich NS.
^ I wish. LOL Not good enough to be sponsored.
i have been seeing an even more of an increase with teabaggers online, even guys who have done the top 32 grind are also doing it -_-
Someone taunted me yesterday (I was eating a pop-tart as the round began and was accordingly bodied - one handed play is decidedly sub-optimal). It actually hasn’t happened to me in a while, and I confess I found it amusing. I then proceeded to beat him into the dirt without getting hit again, and full ultra’d him for good measure.
And because I’m a classy guy, I taunted right back after the ultra ![]()
In all seriousness though, I really feel like taunting and teabagging are more or less unavoidable to a certain extent, and thus not really worth getting riled up about. I consider both to be equally disrespectful (though Spinal sometimes gets a pass depending on context), and generally think of them as just a mild additional incentive to beat my opponent. I haven’t lost to a taunter or teabagger in a while though, so maybe that’s coloring my perception on it. Either way though, I’m pretty sure it really isn’t worth getting worked up about - be salty for 2 minutes and move on to your next match. In my experience taunters and teabaggers are far more the exception than the rule.
They were jealous of your Pop-Tart. Lol.
Well, I’m sure you could with two hands. Playing KI while eating a pop tart is a hard feat. If you can do that, and still body people, you are godlike.
Lol I do the Shuffle instead of taunting. Seems sillier to me.
It just depends. Like a recent Jago match I had had me in Danger with another Jago (One of the more intense matches I’ve had with Jago) and I did a misinput, (Meant to do Shadow Fireball, and got Shadow DP). He was literally on a Pixel, so I could have sneezed on him and won. So he got in, did a full ultra, Instinct canceled, Full KV Combo, Second Ultra, Shadow Fireball into ender, then started taunt canceling and Tbagging my dead corpse.
THAT. was annoying. I need people to Tbag me anyways. Lol I had like 15 clips of people who where sponsored by Lipton, and I accidentally cleared out all of them.
I wanted to make a funny video with them.
Statistically speaking people who tea bag are just more likely to be scrubs and not worth your time. All the years I’ve played fighting games, teabagging is an early sign of “I’ll rage quit if you start winning”
Just don’t rematch if they bag, they are more likely to be rage quitters than those who don’t, and aren’t worth your time.
Shared sentiments with a few people here. I won’t taunt or teabag until done to me first, whoop their butts and then a single taunt to say “that’s what you get.” But now that I read about @Dayv0 's approach, I think I’m gonna use that instead.
Since we aren’t getting any news/updates on a Respect Taunt of some kind, I thought we should make our own set of “taunts” like say, GGs could be spamming LP. I say that because its the button that looks like a fist bump for most characters.
what was @Dayv0’s approach…so many comments, I don’t want to re-read them all. ![]()
The respectful approach
That’s a great tactic and I usually do the same, except for when the person is clearly better than me. Then there is nothing I can do but take the teabag and triple ultra with taunting that goes along. Then when I send them a message, I usually get back, “don’t be so butt hurt about it, it’s just a game”. So I guess the only thing I can do is get better at the game so I don’t have to deal with it.
I still have a hard time understanding why “do nothing” isn’t a proper response for ending a match. We don’t need a “respect taunt” or anything else. When you win a match, just do nothing and go on to the next one if you’re concerned about hurting someone’s feelings.
I find nothing wrong with single use taunts anyway.
Hisako would look like she’s trying to shake a bug off of her wrist. ![]()
Crouching Light Kick has to be the silliest thing Hisako does. It’s like a leg flop. Lol
Because we don’t want to “not offend” someone, we want to congratulate them on the good fight. That’s what the respect taunt is for.
