Taunting & Tea-bagging

I’m not bothered by it. The people feeling the need to do it are the ones with the issue.

I just want the characters to get dances. I’d buy those as stand alone DLC. Sabrewulf Thriller Dance pls.

I would just like to preemptively apologize to everyone now, but once Rash is available y’all are getting taunted.

I tbag when it is laggy and we are full screen doing nothing.

Lol. When I saw Rash’s taunt, I immediately put him into the same category as Spinal, where you just take all taunts in stride. :-p

Honestly, it’s just too much fun not to use, and I can’t hold it against anyone.

Well guess what. If I ever go to a tournament,I will do the dance whenever I get a win. Also streaming whenever I do as well.

I’ll be honest, neither one bothers me at all. I don’t let little stuff like that get to me…never have. But when I play I’m always focused on getting better, so if they’re stomping a hole in me & teabagging all the while I’m not sitting there thinking about how they just insulted me…I’m analysing what my next move should be to break their defenses. & if they win & keep up the teabagging…it’s just one match. Odds are the next guy won’t, & more importantly, if he does teabag, he won’t be at some ungodly rank where I can’t make a dent in his health.

As far as taunting…all the time…pretty much any time there’s a lul in the action. If you play me, you’re getting taunted…& I mean nothing by it. It’s just something interesting to watch while the next round to start.

Tbh,who wants me to put up a video of myself doing Rash’s Taunt when S3 launches?

Great post, but it appears you killed off Thunder.

Rash’s taunt is officially too good NOT to do, pretty much whenever you can. I will never be annoyed by anyone taunting me with Rash - it just looks so gleeful that you can’t help but smile at it.

As soon as a rash starts taunting I will blast a full screen dragon and air dash into the meatiest combo then slap my knee and wag my finger as an outranking taunt.

Lol let them rashes come. ‘You shoulda tried…’

I usually taunt inbetween rounds, not to be rude or anything, just to entertain myself a little during the break.

Its still rude regardless. Just don’t ■■■■■■■ do it. Just because its not rude to you, it may be to the opponent, so be humble and courteous and just.. not do it.

Has it ever occurred to you that its part of their game, that they’re doing it to have you do exactly what you’re doing? Do you play better when you’re angry? Think about it for a minute and figure out who it affects more, use something to calm yourself down man.

I’ve been lurking in your other thread on this topic, and held my peace mainly because I didn’t think I had anything constructive to add to the conversation and the good advice you were being given.

But I’ll speak now to say that at a certain level, you are just going to have to get over yourself. Not every taunt is meant as a huge middle finger (Spinal and Rash’s almost never are), and even if they were - it does not matter. It is wholly irrelevant to the arc of your life if someone on the Internet is being mean. You’ve approached the subject in a very mature way to begin with, so just take that extra step and let apparent disrespect roll off you as well.

I’m also someone who didn’t particularly like being taunted. When the game came out it used to make me upset, and my goal would then have to be to play focused but without anger. As I kept playing though, I stopped getting angry about taunts - after a couple hundred matches they start to lose their power. In two minutes this fight will be over and you’ll be off to fight someone else. It doesn’t matter whether they “respect” you or not - nameless randoms on an internet game have no power over your life one way over the other.

I still focus when I get taunted, and generally make it a point to stomp them into the ground for the remainder of our time together. But I don’t let it hold power over me like I used to. It’s just not worth it, and in the grand scheme of things it’s just a game. There is literally no point in getting upset about things that don’t actually matter that much.

Apologies if any of the above sounds harsh, as that isn’t the spirit it was intended in. I just don’t want you to allow your opponents so much control over your mood.

They don’t bother me, I don’t start until someone does it to me more than a few time.

The taunts really never bothered me. Depending on who it is, it is just part of the game. The teabagging with a follow on message of “you f#*@ing suck, you should kill yourself”, on the other hand does bother me. That’s beyond bad sport and has nothing to do with having fun at the game.

that didn’t seem bad at all…only one taunt in between a round… not excessive.

After reading this thread I’ll just take tea bagging and taunting to whole new level.

If someone is teabagging you, just get the W and rub it in their face :slightly_smiling:
