Is this a joke?! Of all the possible fighters to revive - KI, “Weaponlord”, “Primal Rage”, “Mace: The Dark Age”, etc - why revive “Tattoo Assassins”?!
Probably just a port to modern consoles and PC, simmilar to Night Trap.
But the game had been cancelled. Why release something that had not even been released in the first place? The devs themselves despised TA so much that they chose to cease development altogether on rather than continue with it.

Thought this was for Way of the Warrior on 3DO. I always get those two mixed up.
Ah, “Way Of The Warrior”! Kind of funny how that one allowed Naughty Dog to go on to make classics like Crash Bandicoot. I can kind of see how that is confused with “TA”, although TA is its own special kind of awful.
I just remembered a bad pixelated MK clone, and instantly I thought of Way of the Warrior.
But if Tattoo Assassin’s ever gets a official release of some kind, very curious how the game plays, as most bad MK clones were not good gameplay wise.
Plus some of the tattoo fatalites were kinda corny tbh. So my interest was very low to begin with.
LOL I doubt the resulting game will be fixed, just because unless it receives an ENORMOUS overhaul in everything, a turd is still going to be a turd regardless. But, that being said, we’ll have to wait and see, though I have serious doubts.
The only silver lining that I could potentially see from this is if perhaps the game’s release becomes a steppingstone that paves the way for much better titles to be released down the line, maybe as an experiment to see what cancelled games could be released and/or what to do/what not to do with a cancelled title. That’s just me being hypothetical though, if not somewhat optimistic.
