So, let’s put on our thinking caps!

People have had Street Fighter V for a while now. And some have found some great tech with the characters!

Let’s Discuss, Who do you think is the best in Street Fighter 5 right now (You can make a tier list if you want), and why?

I think:

A++

Chun-Li (I am gonna say it
sf5 chun-li is better than third strike chun-li)

A+

Vega ( effective long range pokes, fastest walk speed, good damage)
M. Bison (Amazing special moves, one of the best V-Triggers, Very safe)
Karin (Fantastic normal moves, good damage)

A

Dhalsim (one of the best versions of sim, new yoga fire is great, great long range normal but suffers when pressured)
Nash (has a variety of good moves for a bunch of situations, so many unique normals but not very strong or has many safe moves)
R. Mika (once the opponent is pressured in a corner with Mika she is unstoppable)
Birdie (very strong and has some good normals but he is a big target at the same time)

B+

Ryu (good as always but nothing making him extra good)
Ken (same as ryu but ken having a good rush down gives him a slight edge)
Laura (solid character with good moves but she can suffer against more mobile opponents)
Cammy (She is very solid but nothing makes her extra good but she has the potential for A tier)
Necalli (like cammy he has the potential for A tier)

B

Rashid (speed is his advantage although damage is not)
F.A.N.G (if you are willing to take poison damage from F.A.N.G to get close to him then he is not an issue)
Alex (like his SF3 self pretty solid but has trouble with zoners)

C+

Zangief (like mika when cornering an opponent they are great but gief has way more trouble getting in)

  2. Not a question really, but darn it I want Laura color 8 -_- Give us the option to buy survival colors in the shop CAPCOM!

The Battle Costumes, aka secondary alts, which Cammy, Ryu, Chun Li and Bison had as pre-order costumes, will be available in the Shop soon. Whether you can use Fight Money or HAVE to spend real money, I don’t know.

SFV probably has around 1million on sales right now.

Initially on it’s first month according to Neogaf it sold 849k units which am having a hard time understanding how this is bad since it’s hovering around a million sales.

According to this months NPD Minecraft is the last on the most sold list and SFV wasn’t on the list at all meaning at the very most SFV sold below Minecrafts level of sales.

We can determine an estimate of how much Minecraft makes a month with the recent statement that it sales 10k a day.

There are 30 days in most months so 30 * 10 = 300k

Meaning SFV at the very most could only reach below 300k sales.
So the initial 849K + 300K = around 1mill

Again I don’t find anything wrong with these numbers and think reaching a mill is a huge success but hey they said it would be a success if it reached 2mill by April. With only one more NPD to come and SFV not being on the list this time around it’s kind of clear they won’t reach their goal. They got half way there though.

No, because NPD just went up and people are going crazy saying SFV is dead. Plus 6 mill unique players doesn’t exactly translate to retained players if there were that many players I would have to face the same guy like three times in a row or not be able to find a match some nights.

That’s 10k a day across ALL platforms. And Minecraft is on everything now.

On PS4 alone, it is considerably less.
