I hope they change it. Or give us the option to purchase the colors from the ingame store. As this keep players away from a healthy onlinecommunity. (Same could be said when they add arcade mode)
I still can’t believe they add onlinespecific trophies either. Every reach x rank in online or x wins in a row(these are the worst) achievement bring in lots & lots of "rage"quitters.
Anyhoo. On to another topic almost worth a thread of its own!
I unpacked the Ryuamiibo today. (Ryu is in smash bros)
It got me thinking, what are the chances SF5 will be on Nintendo NX? Not a word about this have been mentioned anywhere. & it’s not like SF5 is platform exclusive either because of the PC-port.
I wouldn’t expect SFV to come to any other console during its life.
In other news, the down on my X1 dpad finally gave up the ghost. It either doesn’t register ay all or double presses, rendering low blocking nigh-impossible and specials unreliable. I also teabag a lot now I managed to stay in Silver rank just with good spacing and normal placement, but don’t think I’m willing to keep playing with such a handicap.
I refuse to buy another X1 controller over a faulty dpad though, so looks like I’m SOL on playing SFV until MS fixes the driver issue on my X1 TE2. Which really kind of sucks - that won’t be until after KI S3 has released, which means SFV probably won’t be getting too much play in general in the coming weeks.
Locate the wires for the trigger buttons, which inexplicably don’t work on PC and should have been fixed two years ago. Switch them with other buttons.
Remap the controls for your Xbox version of KI, since that will now be different.
To appease the MS gods, you may consider performing a rain dance of some sort, so your stick does not spontaneously combust.
In the event your rain dance displeases the powers that be, consider sacrificing your firstborn. If you do not have any children, find someone else’s firstborn.
I’m afraid if you aren’t willing to do these simple steps, you don’t have a right to complain about MS’s lack of support for the XB1 TE2s on PC. Sorry.
The issue isn’t that the triggers don’t work however - it is that the stick simply is not recognized by Windows 10 beyond acknowledging that something is plugged in. No buttons on my X1 TE2 are recognized when pressed. On Windows 7 I could get by by rewiring the buttons and doing some tricks with my drivers, but on Windows 10 for whatever reason that will not help.
There are a few other random things that I suppose I could try, including just modding the stick to be recognized like an older arcade stick, but at a certain point I just go “meh - this is ridiculous, and I will never ever ever buy one of these products again or recommend them to a friend.”
The fact that the proprietary MS fight stick for X1 does not work with Windows 10 legitimately ■■■■■■ me off. This should have been addressed a long time ago, and the level of non-responsiveness on the issue is ridiculous. I should not have had to try all the rewiring and driver jujitsu I did in the first place, and the fact that none of it has worked has not improved my mood on the matter.
I know I want to move up to fightstick soon so I’ll need some help.
Fall seraph has given me info so far
I was lucky to get my own 2nd failed xboxone controller replaced by an awesome GameStop mgr today so I should be good for a while. Though indeed those dragon release taps may wear this one out too😬
Dang, it won’t even register on W10? That’s inexcusable.
Yeah I’m with you here. I didn’t buy an Xbox One stick (instead going the really annoying CronusMax route), and while the CMs have been frustrating in their own way, I’m really glad I didn’t support the companies who made these decisions.
I’ve been really mad at stick/hardware makers ever since finding out that PS3/360 sticks weren’t backwards compatible on current hardware. Look at all the headaches it’s giving everyone. It has not only directly hurt KI’s representation in the FGC, but people are being DQed from SFV tournaments over stick problems that arise from all this hocus pocus that people have to do to plug a USB device into a USB slot.
I coughed up for an X1 stick right off the bat because I really wanted to enjoy my KI experience from the get go. But the thing doesn’t even fully function on X1. It’s a complete joke - and there is no reason that it has to be so difficult. If I had known how this was going to be I would have ponied for a custom stick built from a salvaged controller because that has much more functionality.
I know have sticks and cheat devices coming out the wazoo and it’s unbelievable. This one works with console a to make stick b work but it doesn’t work in PC. This one works but you need another controller, this one works but the TE2 triggers don’t work using it… It’s just a complete mess.
Yeah man, I totally recommend to EVERYONE HERE… don’t get a TE2…EVER…get a CUSTOM STICK from XxStantheManxX.
It will cost a bit more, but you can have multiple console outputs, custom artwork, light up buttons and stick, see through bottom case with light, and ever LIGHT inside the artwork itself!
There is only 1 thing I like about the TE2..you can change the artwork. Im sure Stan could make a stick with interchangeable artwork if asked.
I can confirm this as well…it makes the TE2 register as a 360 controller (or whatever else you want it to…mine is set on 360).
I gotta admit though, I still don’t think the haptic button works at all. From all accounts I’ve heard it’s supposed to make the lights flash when the game senses controller vibration, but even on games that do support vibration…it does nothing.
What games supposedly have the haptic functionality built in?
Personally, I don’t think I would want that since my buttons are already color coded to their active/inactive states, but I would understand people wanting to use the feature.
As far as I know no games use it. I thought I had heard it was supposed to work with anything that had a vibration/rumble feature, but it won’t even work with those.
Quick question…has Laura always had buttless pants? It may just be I haven’t seen that much of her…but IMHO it’s …um…how to put it nicely…kinda of an odd design decision.
