I get to make a cool-looking character that I can take online and use to beat up on friends and strangers. If the characters had hybrid movesets the creator would be utterly useless to me, since there’s no way it would be interesting or enjoyable to fight a string of impossible-to-learn MU’s against people, meaning my super cool character would sit alone on my HDD and never see the light of day. This way I get to play a cooler version of Seong Mina and learn the game against other people also eager to show off their own cool and unique designs.
Would it be cool to have more accessories/clothing options? Sure. But what’s there is plenty deep enough…I’ve seen Voldo magicarp, half the cast of MKX (done super well by @unrooolie), and Fire Emblem characters. The pattern and sticker systems let you make even boring or crappy pieces look pretty cool, and I’m certain there will be costume and accessory packs in the future as well. I’m quite satisfied
All it takes is imagination
These are random online created characters
Do you think McDonalds would license Ronald for a fighting game lol
Thanos
Deadpool
10 works just fine Looking forward to more fun matches!
I think the big thing about all those different creations isn’t even necessarily how “good” they are at recreating the characters - I’ve mentioned before that I think it’s much more awesome to make your own. But the sheer variety that people are managing within 72ish hours speaks to the depth/versatility of the toolset that’s there. There are a LOT of different characters and styles in that montage above, and that’s because SC6’s system is surprisingly deep once you start really playing around with stuff.
I fell in love with Ivy and made some nice creations based on her.
My Taki is very random due to lack of low pokes and lack of non gauge pressure, so I am gambling a bit too much trying to open up opponents.
To be honest with you I’m not completely satisfied/. Not all the armor was accessible to the lizardman. I wanted Astaroth’s snake necklace but it wasn’t available and there’s some parts missing that I’d have to wait for DLC in order to make. my character gain the snake motif I’ve been working towards.
That being said I’d still have this over SC-V sense in VI you can choose a race.
@STORM179 assuming you’d be in singapore, is evo japan on your radar? (for SCVI if announced) I was stateside last year for work and missed out on attending..not this time
The”plan” is to go. I’ve put quotations around the word however, as I’ve not actually planned anything at all and instead simply have the vague notion of “I will go to Evo Japan” in my head
This game is super dope…I didn’t even go in on KI like this when it came out (mostly b/c I didn’t know how to lab or anything, but still )! Learning just frames, max combo routes, best GI options, and having a blast doing it
Shame the netcode isn’t better though. The game is certainly playable, but online combo timing is noticeably different than off
Lets hope he gets in. But @#$% every time I see an NPC with body armor it reminds me about how the lizard race don’t have body armor for their creation.
Well played. I’ve said many times I don’t generally like SC-versions of other existing properties, but I’ll admit a lot of those look pretty darn cool.
