Weird what’s up with my link?
I started panicking after the sc came out since I didn’t expect it.
Afaik that’s not really blockstun, though. Just proximity blocking. Unlike during blockstun, you can press a button to exit proximity blocking at any time and you can jump during proximity blocking. It should not allow you to activate a shadow counter.
@LetalisVenator link is working fine for me. From your vid I’d say Aganos’ animation makes us think you’d already left blockstun, but in fact you must’ve been in the very last couple of frames of it. Aganos had already put his arms down and stood up, but didn’t walk back even though it looks like you were holding back. As for the inputs, you get HP+HK followed by LP+MP and LK+MK (how did that happen, btw? ^^’). Pressing HP+HK while in blockstun gives you nothing, pressing LP+LK+MP+MK would give you a shadow counter as much as pressing only MP+MK.
At least that’s my interpretation of what may have happened
Beats me how that happened bro.
Well long as its not a bug I guess.

@LetalisVenator yeah, what happened here was you try to pop instinct on the last 2 or 3 frames of your block stun, so the game ignored it. Then, somehow, you pressed LP+MP and then LK+MK on nearly consecutive frames… because you are in block stun, the game considers this a shadow counter (MP followed by MK a few frames later is acceptable due to an input buffer, so people don’t have to press both buttons on exactly the same frame to get shadow moves, etc).
Looks like regular behavior to me. Unfortunate that it cost you a match. I’m pretty curious how you managed to press that sequence of inputs moreso than the game’s response to them.
