You are quite correct. I face Killers all the time that really shouldn’t be in Killer, and then I face KI god Killers that make me want to cry and rethink my life. 
I remember when I ran into Crazy LCD when he was in Silver… Needless to say, my “Killer” status didn’t mean nothing.

God killers? That’s actually a thing? I’ve never seen one before.

Also, in SFV there’s an unofficial mod that hides the opponent’s ranking. I become a much better player when I don’t know the quality of my opponent!
That would actually be helpful.
just put a big piece of cardboard where opponents rank would show and just go from there
I wish we had a crossplay on/off filter because sometimes weird things happens in crossplay matches.
