Yes, but it wasn’t great tbh. I mean, granted, in a lot of ways, it was a faithful remake to the first game - the devs should be commended for rebuilding everything from scratch since the source code for the first game had been lost, but in other ways, it was kind of lacking, especially in terms of the sound effects and music (holy hell, the Magician’s look and theme were awful!). It wasn’t “REmake” levels of great where it took the first game and really added a fresh coat of paint by having new levels, stories and creatures like RE had with Lisa Trevor, it was very much HOTD1 without any additional touches.
At least it existing means the series is on the table

True. I wonder if the HOTD2 remake is still happening. If so, I hope it’s a substantial improvement over HOTD1make.
