What games or game series that you find to have gotten repetitive overtime?
One game series I now find to have gotten really REPETITIVE overtime is Call of Duty including its newest upcoming sequel Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. And when I first saw the official announcement of as well as watched the official trailer for the newest upcoming Call of Duty game, Infinite Warfare, my overall initial reaction to it was like, " Seriously? ANOTHER ALL-NEW Call of Duty game? What? Really now? Wow, just wow. Okay then"
CoD is no more repetitive than any other FPS series, their problem is that they release annually so the repetitiveness becomes much more noticeable. If you want a truely repetitive series look no further than Guitar Hero. It was literally the exact same game engine from World Tour, Metallica, Smash Hits, and Van Halen. Van Halen was especially insulting because it came out after Guitar Hero 5 but was still using the World Tour engine!! And then Guitar Hero 5 and Band Hero were literally the same game being sold twice since the songs from both of them were importable into each other. Warrior’s of Rock was a step in the right direction but sadly that was the end of the line. Rock Band did it right by just releasing endless DLC to the base game.
You just made me want to play Guitar Hero again. I have every Guitar Hero aside from Aerosmith and Van Halen, and I never tire of them. I just wish you could still buy the dlc songs on XBL.
I used to love those games. I think I stopped after 3 and Rock The 80’s (Which was my favorite) but I believe I played 4 and the metallica version too.
Honestly, as much as I love these games I thing GTA games get pretty repetitive. When I was younger I could play it for long periods of time just wreaking havoc but I can’t now lol I still love doing the story stuff and I enjoyed GTA5s online for a while but after my stuff got erased near the launch I was just done.
Obviously I find first person shooters repetive but I literally haven’t played one in years, probably back when everybody was obsessed with Call Of Duty 4 back in high school lol
I’ll see if I can find the page, but basically none this year due to the movie. 2017 they said maybe, because I think they DON’T want it to come around the DVD comes out. So, it’s a rumor, but be prepared if we don’t see one next year.
Unfortunately persona 4 was that for me. Very well written but god…those dungeons. I honestly think the game would be better if it was just a pure visual novel, because the battle system is “okay” in the worst possible way. The dungeons just dragged on and any time I had to run through them I spent the entire time wishing I was back in school. Having my save corrupted and losing several days of dungeon progress was the last straw for me. I probably won’t go back to it.
