Nope, it’s an auto combo that spends the meter if you keep mashing Jab.

It’s part of the trait. It worked much the same in his Beta, before combo assist was a thing. It’s designed so you can just hit the button and go nuts, like a beat 'em up. Mashing lights with 2 meters will also net you a shadow ender. He’s also got a unique ender for these sort of combos that’s similar to his ultra ender.
