Also @Sasuke99I, your comentary is ok, your only issue its staying a bit quiet during the fights. With a second commentator the issue dissapears!
Lol Kev, you only played with her for a bit. She’s not a character that you can master right away. Like your Kan-Ra. I’m sure he made you salty a lot, but you were determined to learn him. It’s the same with Kim.

Seriously, being quiet during a lull in combat and hype during key moments, allows for a commentator who is good at analyzing to fill that space.

Hey, is it at all possible for myself to be a commentator next tournament? I have been meaning to dabble but have not had the chance.
Also, I think a big thing that would help with the tournament would be announcing the time a lot sooner in advance, maybe a few weeks before the tournament begins.

GGS to everyone. I enjoyed myself and I enjoyed watching the other matches.
Also, thanks to @DeadlyNadder792, @lewisthewizard for setting it up and @INDIxion and @Sasuke99I for their rescuing the stream. It was a cool idea and I’m glad I got to participate.
Keeping in mind that it is easy to criticize and hard to actually do things, I want to offer some suggestions with the hope of helping you improve the next one. It may sound like I’m complaining - but I’m not. I really enjoyed the event.

Keep the random assignments random. Don’t let people trade. If they don’t like who they got and want to quit let them quit. The random element and the possibility of a good draw is what makes the tournament fun for guys like me. But no one wants to be playing a character they picked up this week against someone who traded up to their main.

Set all the rules about how you are going to deal with absences, dqs, etc in advance. You guys have a lot to deal with while streaming so it’s too stressful to make decisions on the fly. Do it ahead of time, set it in stone and then don’t ever change it. People will always complain about something but rules agreed in advance are known to all and are fair. This will also shut down lobbying for exceptions during the stream.

For an amateur focused tournament like this you will likely get guys like me who can’t donate an 8 hour day or two consecutive 4 hour days to a tournament. So I would recommend just DQ’ing anyone who is unavailable for their match. Give them 5 min to deal with technical issues then that’s it. It’s not fair to the people sitting around to run the tourney around other people’s schedule. You don’t want to deal with “I’m eating pizza, come back to me in a bit” messing up your brackets. I know for my part I am just happy to participate at all. If and when I have to drop I am happy to take the DQ. But keeping the thing moving swiftly along is most likely to get most people to play their matches. And it will keep you guys from getting exhausted by speeding things up.

Either don’t let people play off stream or give them the option to play off stream before they come up in stream in order to speed things along. Don’t let people set up off stream matches that delay the stream or the setting of brackets.

Finally, commentary is really really hard, so I don’t want to seem critical about this. I thought you improved as you went along. I didn’t hear @Sasuke99I because I was sneaking views at a restaurant with the in-laws by then, but my only advice would be to not say “he’s going in” so much.
That’s it. Thanks again for organizing it and letting me participate. I’m hoping when Ms launches their integrated tournament system later this year it will help everyone organize this kind of stuff. It was great to see folks from the forums get to compete and I really enjoyed my matches.

If you’re free on a day the second volume launches, sure! I’m hoping @Sasuke99I streams for us again, and you could join Me and Lewis for commentary (That’s if he wants to do it again).
