Quitters are ruining it

In that case, he may have thought your life was his play thing…

It might as well have been once Ultra activated lol it was never ending haha

One of this things that I’ve hated most is when you have a frustrating match say fighting a Shago with lag and then him winning when you know you could have done better had their been no lag. Then as soon as you get back to ranked you just want to immediately get back into a match but you can’t. You have to wait like 40 seconds for the bar demonstrating your rank to go down. That to me is one of the most frustrating things. That and after losing being paired with a bronze or silver player, that just makes me lose interest in the fight and would just want to stop playing.

So, I’ve only just signed up here and after searching around the forums for a considerable amount of time, I can’t see an answer to this question so I just thought I’d drop it here :- in the PC version of KI, how exactly do you quit out if someone decides to triple Ultra you?

I’ve mashed every button on my stick, pressed escape, enter and space but nothing seems to work. :frowning:
I’m not asking so I can rage quit and spoil someone’s day, but if it’s been a particularly grueling match with someone with toxic tendencies (swearing over the mic between rounds or sending unpleasant messages via the Xbox app) I just tend to want it over with as quickly as possible.
Again, apologies if this is the wrong place, I just didn’t know where else to put it.

I imagine you can use CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

You could alt tab I think. Or move the mouse over the x button at the top just hover in the corner and the bar should appear, never done it on xbox I think people just exit to dashboard and close the game, it’s a lot of hassle tbh long ultras give me time to drink or use my pc or what ever, it’s only annoying when they think they are great but it’s evenly matched with both players on <20 % health

Oh, that’s a shame, so it’s quit all the way out? Hmm, I thought there was some sort of “leave your corpse there and let them have a merry old time with it but you can quit and be on to the next fight.” As I said before, I don’t mind people testing huge Ultras in exhibition and it’s almost expected as a way to rub salt into the wound in ranked, but if they’re going to be complete bumhats about the game in general by swearing and being generally unpleasant, I’d rather be out of their presence and onto the next fight while they show off to no-one in particular.

Basically, if you’re good be good, no need to be a douche canoe about it, that just makes me not really want to interact with you in any way.

Um, ALT+F4?

That’s what I think about hisako players - I’d rather just leave them to their own, hatred fueling counter setups in their own private room

Rage quitting mid match sucks! though i haven’t had that happen to me in a long time. Now its all about the taunts and t-bagging. i get that every other match.

I thought if they quit you get the win and points or am i wrong on this one?

Oop, Hisako main here unfortunately, haha, mind you when she was announced I decided I MUST play her at any costs, it didn’t really matter how she played, she was an Onryo, that’s all it took to be honest. :joy:

Maybe that’s the reason I’m getting sworn at and trash talked at/triple ultra’d more often than I’d like? I didn’t think Hisako was as hated as some of the other cast members, however, also I wouldn’t consider myself much of a threat, every time I learn something and think I’ve got it down, someone comes and blows me out of the water with their much more effective tech, especially other Hisakos.

Side note, I was checking out your Youtube channel last night, some cool stuff on there, the explanation of how you play the game was fascinating, keep 'em coming!

Yeah, Hisako is generally well-liked in the community, but there are a number of people who just absolutely hate her for whatever reason.

The complaints tend to be along the lines of “she can make everything safe!!! :rage:” this is, of course, nonsense, but it’s how people feel. Sightless probably has more cause than most to dislike her though, since he can’t visually keep track of her wrath meter.

Hisako can be frustrating at times, but I wouldn’t call her unfair.

Oh, she’s scrupulously fair. But when played well, she can be as grimy as any character in KI, and quite a bit more than some.

Hisako is certainly more of a threat to me than she was in S2. I don’t think I’ve won against a Killer Hisako yet. :frowning:

And speaking of Rage Quitting… I had a rush of immediate game crashes when FINALLY finding somebody in Ranked. Lost 100 points for it too. What the freak is going on with KI… I then ran into a laggy… I mean LAGGY Gargos player. Broken frames, teleportation… I stayed the fight, but then reported the guy for bad connection. Honestly if your network sucks that bad, stay in Exhibition. Don’t jump into Ranked.

Thanks for understanding that. I@ll put a little context on that post. I had just fought a set against a hisako who, I guessed, probably hadn’t played her for very long, but she was getting counters on moves that I probably should’ve been able to hit her with before she countered. The amount Hisako players jump is still surprising to me given how much screen control she can actually have if the right circumstances fit together in a match. I feel I should know a little of this as I tried to pick her up during S2 but then realised that her wakeup game was frankly non-existant.

Hisako isn’t as bad as Rash, but even then with Gargos VS Rash, in the matches I’ve played, the Shadowlord wins most if not all the time

Yeah, I’ve noticed more than one laggy Gargos since his release, not in ranked mind you, but it happened enough times in exhibition and lobby mode for me to jokingly come to the conclusion that this was just a “feature” of his character, he has time and space warping abilities beyond just his portal punches and minion summons, (if that’s the wrong move name, it’s because I don’t have season 3 to try any of this stuff out yet) he can create his own lag climate! :joy:

We don’t know when KI saves info on PC, so you might lose data if you just press X. Having said that, moving the mouse to the top right of the screen will show an app bar and you can close KI.

As far as I know if you quit a match after the Ultra has been activated you’ll surely get the loss but it won’t count towards the “rage quitter” soft ban of having you only match against other rage quitters.
