Problem with steam - black windowed screen

Hello people! I am facing some trouble with KI. I just bought it on steam and downloaded the game but when I try to inicialize it just appears a black, windowed screen and display no imagine of menus at all - but the sound works good, its wierd.

Does anyone faced the same problem or have any suggest of how fix it?

From the specs you have listed, looks like you are trying to play Killer Instinct on a laptop.

It appears that you have two cards, Intel Graphics and Nvidia Graphics. Perhaps the game is trying to launch on Intel graphics. This issue can probably be fixed by doing the following

Option A:

Open the Nividia Control Panel

  1. Go to Manage 3D Settings
  2. Set Your Preferred Graphics Processor to High-Performance Nvidia Processor for Global Settings
  3. Save/Apply Settings and Launch the game within steam client.

Option B
Open the Nividia Control Panel

  1. Go to Manage 3D Settings
  2. Go to Program Settings tab
  3. Add KillerInstinctX64_r.exe to the list (Located in steamapps\common\Killer Instinct folder)
  4. Set Your Preferred Graphics Processor to High-Performance Nvidia Processor
  5. Apply/Save Settings, and Try launching the game in Steam
