Otherwise I have no idea. Anytime you go online and try to play any outdated game, you are forced to update or go offline. Though it is possible to play local.
You could if you have the S1 Combo Breaker disc and installed it offline. There’s a thread about it somewhere here, I think @deltarayquaza posted it.

It’s impossible to play online with older seasons. That’s season 2 and not 1 btw.

That geoff the hero vid was from an old twitch stream ( and from seadon 2 ). It still is possible to play season 1 but only offline
