It’s a good object lesson to see the age demographic these are targeted towards and the tone of the commercials, just as a reminder to folks whose nostalgia goggles show them a serious “mature” game.

In the 90’s all games were aimed at the same demographic: teenagers, because this whole “videogames can be entertainment for adults” trend still hadn’t settled down.
Do you even see any females gaming in these ads? Even the concept of female gamer wasn’t assimilated yet.
