I’m pretty sure it WAS meant to be Gargos they just went a different direction with him than Double Helix had suggested with the instinct portrait. Omen even says “Gargos!” when its activated, he wouldn’t need to summon a big picture of himself to activate his powers. I mean Jago doesn’t flash a big picture of himself when he goes into instinct, simple fact is the monter’s face is pre-release representation of Gargos that never came true and we’ve got better odds of having them change the instinct monster to look more like the current Gargos model.
