That’s the problem, isn’t it? The lack of specification, the lack of info we’re getting about this and what it means for the game.
DEFINITIVE is just a buzzword. They have been using the words “complete” and “ultimate” since they started releasing seasonal packs.
They called S1 pack “The ultimate KI experience”, and S1+S2 pack “The complete pack”
So, in a way, even if there’s a S4, they are not lying. It’s the definitive edition. Definitive until next season.
indeed good sir indeed, its all up in the air, just stay tuned ![]()
Sometimes I feel like these companies shouldn’t release GOTY/Complete/Definitive editions if there is more DLC coming down the line. Correct me if I am wrong but don’t most people who wait out on games for physical versions or “complete” editions usually do so because they just want everything in one convenient package so they don’t have to worry about add ons and DLC having to be bought and downloaded later?
but then if people demand more and are willing to pay for it, then why not?
That’s rather rubbish though. There’s nothing “ultimate”, “complete” or “definitive” about any of this then. It’s pure ■■■■■■■■■ Just makes them rather untrustworthy.
To me it seems like they are doing this sort of thing as a safety-net, should they choose to discontinue the game for whatever reason. “Oh, but we already did the complete version, so that means we can just stop here.”
Not even Iron Galaxy is beyond dirty sales techniques. Kinda feels just like what Capcom did with SF4, them saying they wouldn’t do alot of upgraded versions, yet they released 4 version of the game. And now with MKXL, alot of the fanbase seeing it as the “final version”, yet NRS have hinted at a third Kombat Pack.
It’s disappointing, really.

It may be a case of cohesivity, though. Ori and the Blind Forest is also a MS title and it too released a “definitive edition” a few days ago.
Although it’s clear that Ori’s edition is really definitive, since that game has no more planned DLC.
OH! (on an unrelated note). I forgot to answer your question about keits. Should I PM you?
No, I got it already from Dayv0. It was not pretty to watch but, maybe everybody just blew it out of proportion. Thanks for reminding me though.
Woot! Lovecraftian monster!
Most likely won’t happen but it’d be awesome to see a new face to end the season.
Soo how long before Eyedol reveal?
At least 6 PM Pacific Time.
Soo how long before Eyedol reveal?
They will reveal Eyedol’s trailer before release Half life 3. XD
Where is the link for confirmation of the DE Sept 20?
Thanks I never saw the trailer! Kim Wu gets a great addition. I’m surprised they included the unfinished win animation!
Wait- there’s no way the soundtracks can all fit on one cd!
Isn’t it supposed to have 5 years of KI soundtracks
4 hours until Eyedol reveal! xD
4 hours until Eyedol reveal! xD
8th character is not Eyedol… It’s Shadow Eyedol! : D
Lol Yes! ![]()
Hope we get a trailer online around that time…
