I would love a new original character more than anything. If it’s a guest which Ihave a feeling it will be I hope ED Boon’s twitter troll is real and it’s Scorpion. That would be a huge evo announcement and I think he’dfit in pretty well.

The good part would be that we would get a really cool guest and this guest would call a lot of MK fans. The bad part would be his teleport, just look at Injustice.
As long as it’s not another guest I’m fine. I loathe Eyedol, but I would take him over a guest. However, if Eyedol does return pretty much all I ask for is that I don’t want him having involvement in the story. There’s just no place for him w/out shoehorning.
I think it would be fine. There are other teleport characters andI’m sure IG would make him balanced.

Yes you are right. For one minute i forgot that im talking about KI. This game is really good balanced in my opinion or at least there is no god tier charachter like in other games.
The OP definition for Tusk or Gargos is short when you fight online a Kabal from MK9 or an Aquaman from Injustice.

They are going to add a couple more guests next season. I think Eyedol will be in the next batch. Not only do I think it would be better because Gargos is already in this Season, but we already have so many large characters and I think Eyedol would be another giant.

Have a little faith in IG/Microsoft, the KI plot was always garbage if they can’t cobble something together from the ashes of KI 1 & 2 they can work Eyedol back in.

I’m sure they can, but not now. There needs to be build up if they intend on keeping his boss status. And in this game, he has absolutely none of it.
They could have him show up after Gargos is beaten in shadowlords as a tease and to introduce him and for it to make sense for him to be the 8th character, but have his story be something new for a possible KI 2, season 4 or simply some DLC with the Eyedoll invasion (Shadowlords variant with Eyedoll and new items and perhaps 2 new bad guys to follow Eyedoll (instead of Shago and Omen)
Anyways, just some random brainstorming…

You were questioning about how he could be introduced into the storyline.
Then again if we are expecting him as a plot twist his inclusion in the story is made valid because of it.
A plot twist is a sudden change of direction (meaning no build up required) in this case Eyedoll showing up at the end is perfectly fine, eventhough we might expect it already (and then only because we know of the exsistence of Eyedol through previous games).

Then it’s not a plot twist that’s dramatic irony (because we already know he’s coming meaning the only ones that don’t are the characters)

Yes, there needs to be build up is you’re adding him as a boss. There needs be a reason why I should care about how much of a threat his is. Otherwise I could easily assume he’s just there for the free pizza and swears vengeance because the shops are closed.

it would be a plot twist but there is a very big distinction between good and bad plot-twists in a story. good plot twists are drastic changes in direction where if you look previously in the story there are hidden details and hints revealing the plot twist that you didnt realize it before.
bad ones are where there are no little hints and something or an idea is just shoehorned with the worst excuse. like Dio from jojo bizzare adventure becoming the true bad guy in the story and their justification was the simple statement that “you thought it was gargos but it was ME, DIOO!!!” and then you fight him. no reference to jojo, no hint or any (or bad)excuse. it would be weird but awesome for jojo fans but to everyone else it would be wtf is this!
